An average English student reads millions and bazillions of books, essays, reviews and materials daily. However, not all the materials required are usually available at a bookstore, especially if you do not live in one of the major cities in Nigeria.
Students can decide to order literary works directly from the author, buy them online, photocopy the material from someone, steal a careless course mates material or better still, do not bother at all then prepare to pack parallel Fs at the end of the semester since “they cannot come and kill demsefs”.
Obtaining all these materials in hard copy will cost a fortune and since money is not plucked from trees, one needs to find an easy way out.
From this narration above, it's obvious that I needed an AFFORDABLE device with a strong internet connection, long-lasting battery, high image resolution and speed. My “calculator” then did not have any of these features, hence, I began the search for a gadget that would perform all my tasks effectively.
As expected, there were a lot of options but my mind was keen on getting a specific device which was to be released soon. That device was the itel P37 model.
Some friends close to me tried to dissuade me from purchasing this particular product due to the brand's reputation of glitching after some time but my mind was made up anyway and I went ahead to complete my transaction.
One might wonder why I remained adamant and unwilling to change my mind. Here's why:
Itel P37 ticked all my boxes. It has a big battery capacity of 5000mAh, an internal storage of 32G ROM and 2G RAM. That's a BIG memory. What I love even more are its AI dual Rear Camera and main camera which are 5 MP and 8.0MP respectively. Last but not the least, its screen size is 6.5 inches.
Now, it would not have been possible to get all these features at the budget-friendly price of ₦39, 500 except if one had chosen itel P37.

- It's portable!
First things first, the itel P37 device is sleek and portable. It is so light and does not heat up even after using it for long hours.
The device does pretty much all that any Android device can do.
- Browsing is fun!
Usually, I surf the internet a lot. It triples when I'm in class receiving a lecture. What makes this activity even more fun is that due to my screen's size, my favourite browser provides me with an option to customise the browser. I did some tweaks and here's what it looks like. Fun!
- No horrible typographical mistakes from typists!
An app like WPS office runs smoothly on the device without glitching. Hence, it serves me the cost of having to pay so much to computer operators to have my presentations typed. Also, I do not have to go through the painstaking process of proofreading my work thrice for typographical errors that might have been made by the typist. I just type, edit and print.
- It steems!
The phone can access the Steemit website. Switching my browsers to desktop mode still gives me a wonderful experience and helps me navigate the website even better.
- PDFs are always available!
Big memory, remember. So I never get to complain about running out of storage space.
- With itel P37, I can connect with like minds!
My phone is used to connect with other English students around the world. On each platform, we get to share knowledge — which is paramount. I also receive notifications from the class group chats online. So I never have an excuse for missing a test or deadline for the submission of an assignment.
- Fun! fun! fun!
At the end of the day, I get to wind down by dancing to a piece of new music I had downloaded on my Boomplayer. That's a lot of fun!
There has been an improvement in the learning process. Students no longer have to visit libraries at distant locations or pile up voluminous textbooks around. Literati can easily access literary texts, thus, reducing the cost of learning. What else can one ask for apart from an itel P37 device?
