Hi guys, It's another week with SteemTV, Welcome to SteemTV Show....!

Today's edition of SteemTV focuses on the need for young people to embrace entrepreneurship instead of waiting for white-collar jobs their whole life. It also outlines some tips to consider before getting into such development. I spoke with @adylinah a young Nigerian graduate (Marine Biology - University of Uyo) who is doing well in her cake-making business.

@adylinah during cake making...

In most countries, you don't need just the certificate to work, sometimes you need to pay money to get a Job or you need to have someone in the government house or a big politician otherwise you will just be roaming around with your certificate (this is common in Nigeria). So what happens when you don't have that money to pay...? what happens if you pay that money and still didn't get the Job? What happens if you don't have anybody with a high rank in the government house? What happens if none of your family members is a top politician?

"Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." - Steve Jobs

"The only way to do great work is to love what you do." - Steve Jobs

I don't know who else identifies with the truthfulness found in those words above.

Well in an attempt to x-ray the facts involved in those statements, I realized two important and very necessary miles stones in a person's life. I identified these two as entrepreneurship and business.

While these two convey different ideas, they however walk hand in hand to achieve a common goal and success. Entrepreneurship and business are closely related and often used interchangeably, but there are differences between the two.

When the word entrepreneurship is mentioned, it involves identifying a business opportunity, developing a plan to turn that opportunity into a viable business, and taking the necessary steps to bring the business to fruition. Business, on the other hand, refers to the operation and management of a commercial enterprise.

So I think we can logically say, an entrepreneur is a businessman/businesswoman.

Recently I ran a mini survey to sample opinions and after gathering all facts, I was able to come up with 9 tips to go above your entrepreneurial vision.

  • Find a need in the market: Identify a problem that people are facing and come up with a solution to solve it. You could offer a service or you could sell a product.

  • Conduct market research: Research is very important to validate your idea and before you embark, make sure there is a demand for it. This will help you determine if your idea is viable and can be profitable.

  • Create a business plan: A business plan is a roadmap for your business. It is essential to have a plan in place to guide your business.

  • Focus on customer satisfaction: Your customers are the lifeblood of your business. Make sure you are providing them with excellent customer service and meeting their needs.

  • Be adaptable: The business landscape is constantly changing. Be willing to pivot and adapt to new challenges and opportunities.

  • Manage your finances: Keep a close eye on your finances and make sure you are operating within your budget.

  • Network and build relationships: Attending conferences and webinars with entrepreneurs in your field can help you network and when you establish relationships, endeavour to learn how to keep them.

  • Stay motivated: Along the way, you'll get discouraged and all due to certain challenges hence requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Focused on your goals, and seek for help when you need it.

  • Never stop learning: learning never stops!!! The business world is always changing, and there is always something new to learn. Always be updated with any changes in your field.

Overall, love what you do and let passion be a driving force.

This is beautiful!

It's true that in the world we find ourselves today, entrepreneur is the way. Even most of the top politicians, Top shell workers are having businesses stationed somewhere without anyone's knowledge. About the 9 tips you listed, finding a need in the market is where most persons miss it and they end up just like others did. But doing something differently, produce different and beautiful results.

I am glad most youths are venturing into entrepreneur because time waits for no one.

Thank you sir for this promotion / show and congrats to @adylinah, more strength to do more!

Thank you for your comment. It is indeed a good deal to go into entrepreneurship instead of waiting many years for white collar Jobs.

That's why skill is Important , but if one have money for business.., it's one of the best decisions to give it a try.

Many thanks Ubongudofot for having me on Steem TV. It was a nice experience, I'm honored. I hope other youths realize this and wake up to the reality of not fully hoping on white collar jobs but instead embrace entrepreneur while waiting.

Thank you for sharing those interesting points on the show...

It's a cool topic, cool statements, a cool conclusion and a cool format! Too bad that the sound quality is really poor in parts. Is there anything we can do to make your interviewees easier to understand? May be, you could use Skype or Zoom or Teams (or comparable collaboration platforms) for your talks...?
