Motive and Greed 动机和贪婪

Motive is a reason for an attempt or endeavour. And a motive being activated is the motivation for a person to move forward to accomplish a goal. Therefore, what type of motive we attempt to activate will eventually affect the human relationship and the future of our world.

Greed is negative but it is a motive hidden inside almost every individual. We may be greedy for different things, but obviously many people are greedy for money. Comparatively, trust is positive and a force to enable human beings to live together harmoniously.

It is a blessing if there is a system whereby people can trust one another as we live together in this sophisticated world. In the area of assets, blockchain is something new yet it has already caught the attention of many people. Those who advocate it find that such technology is a trust worthy system in managing and investing our resources. But the more
conscious bystanders think that it could lead to bubble economy.

Should we get involved with blockchain? There is no answer at this stage we can easily recommend for consideration. Nevertheless, there is a fundamental question that a person needs to answer before making a decision pertaining to one’s involvement of blockchain. It is a question about motive. Is it a desire for a more trustworthy system or a greed for more money?

The system can be neutral. But if it is motivated by greed, then as it is said, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.”

动机是尝试作一样事的理由，而动力则是实现目标过程中所需要的力量。因此，我们开啟了什么类型的动机将会影响人类的关系和我们世界的未来。

贪婪是消极的，但几乎每个人都隐藏着这一种动机。我们各人可能对不同的东西存着贪婪的心，但必竟很多人都会贪爱钱财。相比之下，信任是积极的，它也是使人类和谐共处的力量。

如果有一个新系统能让人们在这个复杂的世界相互信任一起生活，那将是一件美事。在资产领域，区块链是一种新的东西，而且它已引起许多人的注意。那些提倡它的人发现这种技术在管理资源和投资方面是一个值得我们信赖的系统，但也有不少的旁观者认为它可能会导致泡沫经济。

我们应该参与区块链吗？在这个阶段没有所谓正确的答案。然而，任何人在做出是否及如何参与区块链的决定之前，自己有必要先回答一个基本的问题。这是一个关于动机的问题，即是会否参与是基于对更可以信赖系统的渴望亦或是要獲得更多钱财的贪婪呢？

区块链系统可以是中立的，但如果使用它是出于贪婪的动机，那么就必须注意到，
“贪财是万恶之根。”
