Acehnese Culture "Intat Linto Baro"
Indonesia has many cultures, because the Indonesian state is made up of various tribes, one of which is the Acehnese. The province of Aceh is located in the westernmost part of the State of Indonesia. In the past, when it had not yet joined Indonesia, Aceh was the first Islamic kingdom to exist in Indonesian territory from the 13th - 18th centuries, that was before the existence of the Indonesian state.
The Kingdom of Aceh joined Indonesia in 1945. The culture of Aceh from the days of the kingdom until now after joining Indonesia is still well-chosen. The Acehnese culture and customs are still practiced by the Acehnese as the cultural roots and characteristics of the Acehnese. Aceh's cultural customs are one of the cultural roots of the Indonesian state.
Actually there are many Acehnese cultures that I can tell about here, but I take the one that is most often carried out by the Acehnese people, or the most popular custom, namely "INTAT LINTO BARO" or the culture of taking the groom to the bride's house.
Linto Baro's intention is to take the groom to the bride's house, until this event is accepted by the bride's family. Acceptance must be under customary law or within the cultural traditions of Aceh. "Intat Linto" is a traditional culture in the marriage process in Acehnese society.
Arriving the "Linto Baro" group or the groom at the bride's house. They will be greeted with the traditional “Seumapa” culture. This "Seumapa" culture is words to welcome the groom's entourage by reciprocating Pantun (words of poetry and advice). "Seumapa" is one of the Acehnese customs that need to be preserved, considering that currently the "Seumapa" custom is rarely implemented due to the influence of Modernization. This "Seumapa" custom needs 2 Acehnese language experts who can use the language by way of rhyming (poetry) and replying to Pantun in beautiful and pleasant language.
After that, the groom's entourage is welcome to enter the Bride's Home Page. And then the groom is invited to sit down and then they are greeted by the Aceh dance, namely the "Ranup Lampuan" dance. This dance is one of Aceh's traditional dances to welcome guests from the groom's party who just entered the yard of the bride's house. The dancers consist of several beautiful women who wear typical Acehnese clothes, these dancers are 5 women and are accompanied by the rhythm of traditional Acehnese music.

After the Welcome with Dances, the next cultural custom, the bride and groom are directed to sit together on the aisle which has been luxuriously decorated with beautiful colors. Then the "Peusijuek" custom is carried out by the parents of the bride and groom as well as by the appointed traditional leaders.
This peusijuek is to give blessings, enthusiasm, gratitude to Allah SWT, prayers and blessings for the bride and groom, so that their marriage will go well and never be separated. This "Peusijuek" is one of the Acehnese cultural traditions that is carried out in any activity such as going on a pilgrimage, using newly purchased items such as a new house or new vehicle, babies coming off the ground, pregnant women and other activities that need to be blessed with gratitude to Allah SWT. .

Thus my post about one of the Indonesian State Cultures, namely the Acehnese traditional culture "Intat Linto Baru" which is the culture of taking the groom to the bride's house. Ya, adat dan budaya Indonesia sangat beragam, terutama adat dan budaya Aceh. "Intat Linto Baro" Ini adalah akar budaya yang perlu kita dilestarikan dan Jaga sebagai masyarakat Aceh . Saya mencoba memperkenalkan Adat ini ke Steemian di luar. Terima kasih Bro atas dukungan dan komentarnya.
Sangat perlu di lestarikan, tapi sayang masih ada sebagian orang yang tidak dapat melaksanakan nya, karena terkendala biaya yang cukup mahal. Terkadang mereka hanya sudah bisa nikah saja menjalin Aqad nikah saja sudah sangat bersyukur.
Betul, ini salah satu kendala, masalah biaya, perlu dicari jalan keluar.... he he he

the custom that still applies today in aceh "seumapa & dances" still applies in aceh if these 2 customs are shown at weddings, i prefer to see seumapa than dance, very good post, sir, thank you for sharing
Currently the "Seumapa" cultural custom is rarely implemented, even though this custom is very good and funny, reciprocating Pantun. Perhaps it is rare for Acehnese to master the rhyme language "Seumapa".
