My Favorite Retro Game | Steemph Contest Entry

First of all, I love playing games. I am a certified gamer. I've played so many video games back in my high school days. I remember when I got my first PlayStation when I was 12 years old, I was jumping with joy when my father bought it for me as my elementary graduation gift.
I remember playing all day long in my room during those summer days. I also got my own collection of video game CD's that I was so proud of to show off my friends. When I was done playing my PlayStation, I still have my PlayStation Portable. And once I'm done with it, I will head over to my computer to play some more games.
So basically my childhood life revolved around playing video games. But, PS3, PSP nor computer wasn't my first computer console.
My first computer console was a Nintendo Gameboy Colored. Yes, the brick looking console. My father has a NIntendo Family Computer which he shares to all of us. But the most memorable for me was my own game console. I was 8 and I thought, that was the most precious thing that anyone could own that time.
I only got two games that time. One was MarioBros., and the other one was Harvest Moon. I was kinda tired of Super Mario cause I was playing it all day on the Nintendo Family Computer. So, I played Harvest Moon.
It is the best simulation game for me up until today.
I think that this game is super under- rated and a lot of people does not appreciate the concept behind it.
The game is very simple. You play as a young lad who inherited a large farm from a deceased old farmer. And it is up to you how you're gonna live your life.
There a lot of characters on this game. Like your neighbors and pets.
You can court the bachelorettes on you town and eventually marry her once she has completely fallen in love with you. You can also have a child with her.
There is a girl version of this game. And my husband is Gray. I made a digital art of him a while back.

You can make friends with the neighbor by consistently visiting their house and chatting with them or just give them gifts.
You can participate on the festivals. They always celebrate their festivals with contests. Like a cookijg contest, Horse Race, Chicken contest, Cow and Sheep Contest and some other gatherings.
You can plant some friuts and vegetables and sell them to earn money to buy things for your house or food.
And the best part of it is the town's secrets. There are so many secrets on this town that you'll only discover if you investigate good enough and if you explore the whole town.
I was playing this game for my entire childhood life along with some other great games. I'm just sad that I lost my Game Boy through the years. But I'm still glad that I could still play this using a Gameboy Emulator App on my phone. Haha
I still play games on my free times but nothing beats a good old game. Yes the games today are great and the graphics are amazing but nothing beats the feeling of playing a retro games.
SOME IMAGES ARE NOT MINE. I JUST GOOGLED IT! XD

Oh my gosh, you just brought me down the memory lane. I love Harvest Moon too! I think this was one of the reasons why I love planting. LOL
