Picking the peppers
I got a reply to my gardening post yesterday from @mikehamm suggesting that I pick the first peppers off my pepper plant in order to annoy it and make it grow a whole lot more.
So this morning I crept up quietly on the unsuspecting plant, when it wasn’t looking, and picked the peppers! I think it must have still been sleeping because it didn’t do anything. So we will have to wait and see if it notices and gets annoyed enough to spam me with peppers.
@mikehamm wasn’t sure if this would work for tomatoes also, but given my clandestine success with the peppers, I thought I’d try the same technique on the tomatoes and see how it goes.
So check back in a few days and see how the plants have reacted. It will be interesting to see if @mikehamm’s strategy works for me too.

How long does it take to harvest them? Are annually harvest ?
Actually, I don't know :-) I've never tried to grow them before. I suppose they get harvested in late summer, as they seem to be just starting to bear fruit now.
Great to start the day reading something with a little humour. I hope the recommendation bears fruit.
I discovered by accident that just leaving tomato plants to do their thing is a good thing.

I have heard of picking soome small fruit off to make the others bigger, but not the first to annoy the plant into production.
