My boys are growing up so quickly …..
Hi Everyone,
I was organising my recently today and realised that my boys have grown up so quickly. It was only 4 years ago when Baby E came into our world and in a blink of an eye, he is already 4. When he was born, our parents mentioned how time will fly and I remember answer them saying, seriously as if. 1 year seems like a stretch. And here I am writing this article saying the same thing they told me 4 years ago.
Even the teachers at day care said that Baby E has matured a lot the moment he turned 4. He listens to what my husband and I say in the car so we need to make sure to not mention anything silly or else he will blurt it out to the public. Even then I’m driving and get frustrated with the traffic or a driver in front, he listens out to the stuff I say, follows what I say and laugh …. that’s when I knew I need to be careful on what I say.
Baby M just turned 2 as well so he is a handful. I call him the annoying one cos he is annoying. He wants you to play with him 24/7. The moment he wakes up, he comes over and kiss me in themorning and smiles and says “Mummy play ….”. I’m literally waking up and he just drags me out. Lucky my other half will settle them so I can have a bit more of a lie down each day. Baby M is very active, cheeky and smart according to his carers. This also means more work for me because the moment he comes home from daycare, I need to deal with him. Mummy plaaaaayyyyyyyyyy ……
My two boys have their love hate moments. Baby E seems to be annoyed with Baby M more often and the younger one only loves Baby E 24/7. He sees his brother as his idol, the person he follows and looks up too. I guess it is a phase that Baby E finds his younger brother annoying and I hope that we can change that around soon.
Enough for today because I need to plaaaayyyyyyyy ……

It is very true. We might not think so at first, but time goes by very quickly, and the next thing you know, your sons are in high school, college, striking out on their own.
I have one son who will turn 30 in November. His brother turns 28. They're both married and have children. In some ways, I feel the weight of the time that's past (that mean I'm really as old as I am, too :), but in many ways, it just isn't possible that much time has past.
It's sounds cheesy or cliche to say it, but this is the time to cherish every moment with them, even if it is annoying and there's plenty of other things to try to do, because at some point, they will change to where they don't want to be with you so much.
There should be limits placed on play time, boundaries, etc., but life flies by. Time is relentless.
That said, I think it sounds like you have a lot of love for both of them, and I don't know enough to say much more. Only that it's cool when the grandchildren come because you get to go through it all again, just from a happy distance. :)
oh gosh i am so worried one day they won't want mummy anymore. I will def cherish each moment and just hug and kiss them as much as I want now. Not cheesy at all cos it is so true. When they grow up, they have their own lives and family and won't kiss or hug mummy any more :(
It is a part of growing up, and maybe especially for boys, but I think girls do it, too. Regardless, you will always have a special place in their hearts. It's just a matter of spending the time with them now so they will want to spend the time with you later. Relationships change over time, so we enjoy them the way they are for as long as they last, and we hope that period of time is forever. :)
