Comments:

I am expecting an increase in the number of posts made each day starting 4/18/18 as @transparencybot has begun commenting on all posts, which now includes those with reputations above 70.

All in all, transparencybot is being seen as a constructive and useful display of information for all those interested to analyze.

Why do we need more transparency?

Yes, transparency Bot is presenting information that IS available on the blockchain, but NOT otherwise available on Steemit.

Transparency allows all of us who care about this platform to know what is going on, directly see how it affects us, become more educated as to what can be done and then; hopefully, act in a way that protects our platform for years to come.

As of 4/18/18, @transparencybot will begin upvoting random posts that use the #nobidbot tag and have not used bidbots on the post.
The number of random votes it does a day depends on its remaining voting power. Later on, a filter to select only authors with reputation's of perhaps 60 (or 50) and below may be incorporated, but for now it is wide open.

This is a non-profit initiative, all funds received by or delegated to it will be used directly for this mission only. No one, including myself is being paid for any service or product. Please consider supporting it by upvoting this post and/or the comments left by @transparencybot.

A VERY huge thank you to our delegators!

@gems.and.cookies @whatamidoing @jduarte @freebornsociety @dana-varahi @goodguygreg @simplymike

Do you realy want support this spam bot? I see a big shitstorm in the near future.

resteem.bot

I don’t see it as spam. I don’t know what you are on about.

@whatamidoing

Yes. If you write somebody, who do not want that, the better word is "stalking" or "inconvenience".

You can see here that some people are pissed:

@resteem.bot

The developer of @transparencybot, @bycoleman has purchased delegated SP from Minnowbooster and up-voted his other accounts over the last 7 days @introbot 47% of the time, @botreporter 25% of the time, transparency bot 25% of the time and himself 2.9% of the time.

Producing multiple accounts and up-voting that account can be seen as taking advantage of the rewards pool. One person with multiple accounts may be looked into and addressed if/when illicit activity is noticed.

This information is being presented in the interest of transparency on our platform @bycoleman and is by no means a judgement of your work.

In addition @bycoleman has used the following bidbots in a previous post:

buildawhale for 69.63, $278.52 USD
upmyvote for 25.36, $101.44 USD
minnowbooster for 22.23, $88.92 USD
boomerang for 18.07, $72.28 USD
smartsteem for 12.21, $48.84

Dollar amounts have been taken from the current Steem price.

This guy is a hypocrite

Everybody knows I have used bidbots a few months back, I have stated this clearly on several occasions. Infact, I have instructed others on how to use them.

I lease SP from an individual not MN, buildteam is simply the intermediary, and they do a very fine job with this.

Yes, I have several accounts that I believe are assets to the platform, which i support directly and indirectly to ensure they are able to perform as they are intended. @Tranparencybot is non-profit, these votes will not return back to me.

I do hope to profit from my other services, it takes a great deal of time and resources to create and maintain these and each of them I believe are assets to the community. Each person is free to judge accordingly.

Is your intent transparency or to discredit the messenger?

I believe most people can see our motives pretty clearly.

He want to be a Steemit hero, and sure he want to make some coins. It is okay.
But there is no mission, we have transparency, called blockchain and a lot of Steemit tools.

He can scan us 24 hours, we have nothing to hide.

But we will not accept the spam comments, because we have a very high visibility.

If he don't respect this, the only way is flaging.

@resteem.bot

@bycoleman

We just don't want to make marketing for your projekt. We don't have something against this project.

But this place is for our users.

We are so strict because we have a lot of visits.

@resteem.bot

I don’t agree with the amount of self upvotes especially the use of bidbots, but aside from that this is a project that I see as neccesary for the health of the platform.

And the only people who see the comments as spam are the ones who don’t like people seeing how much of their payoutnis from bidbots.

I should also add that when I voiced my displease with @bycoleman making an account called @nobidbot when I saw it as a community project, he promptly offered to give me the key. Even if I don’t agree with his methods, I can say from experience that he isn’t simply looking for a chance to make profits at others expense and has his dignity.

Thanks for the support. I have not used bidbots for several months, each time I justified it one way or the other as do each of these users, until I could no longer do so, this is when and where my campaign against them began.

Not sure if you ever saw this.

FWIW, I donated all profits back from those articles via contests or donations.

I agree with @resteem.bot. I support the idea of transparency bot and it's reports. I just hate that it spams up people's comment sections with automated posts which add nothing to the topic or conversation. I don't like when bidbots do it either. That IS spam, by definition.

@whatamidoing

"And the only people who see the comments as spam are the ones who don’t like people seeing how much of their payoutnis from bidbots."

Bullshit. Everything is visible on Steemit. The most bit bots even leave a comment.

Nobody will stop useing bots because a transparwhateverbot.

By the way his math is wrong.

@resteem.bot

bots commenting on posts when they are used are spam too, but no one complains because they are upvoting their posts. If people don't want transparencybots "spam" they can stop using bidbots.

@whatamidoing

If people don't want spam, they can flag it.
