Another Wicked Wayback Wednesday Walk from June 13th 2016
I'm back with another Wicked Wayback Wednesday Walk! Just like last week, I'm dipping back into my archives, and this particular set is from June 13th 2016.
I did post two of these shots for a Foto Friday post back then, but the rest of the baker's dozen have only been seen by our landlady, as I typically email her all my finished photos from around our houses.
Also, this is actually a pair of wanders around our Durham, New Hampshire yard that I took that day - one around 8am, and the other (the sunset snaps) from 8pm.
Speaking of wandering, don't forget to wannder on over to @tattoodjay's latest post, called Wednesday walk challenge East River Roundabout and Steem Basic Income Give away which features the beautiful waterfront in the downtown area of another New England town (Milford CT).
Now, on to my shots!
8am
I hung outside with my camera & tripod, and stalked the hummingbird feeder.
The hummingbirds were happy to model for me!
A little sugar water bribe certainly didn't hurt!
Keeping the feeder clean & filled was a chore, but it soooo paid off.
Remember the picture from last week (well, technically a week and three years ago...LOL!) Here's a reminder of what it looked like...
Hummingbird posing like the one on the glass of the feeder
Here's an even better shot this time around!
Look closely at the clouds near the tree on the left side of the picture.. do I spy, with my little eye, something that begins with, "f"...?
...to be fair, this is probably more "fly" than "fae" but you never know... those fairy folk are tricky!
8pm
Crazy clouds and the first quarter plus a day moon
Sunset clouds are always so much fun...
...because they change from moment to moment.
And did I mention addicting? I can't stop taking pictures!
Okay, this is the last one for now...
... okay, I couldn't resist, but this is it! Mostly because it really is the last one from that night...LOL!
Happy walking & see you next week!
Thanks for stopping by!

I love this!
Thanks, Denise! 😊
I love hummingbirds! So cool to watch them hover! Say that fae has a long nose that reminds me of a mosquito lol.
:)
😊🤗
Same here, @old-guy-photos - I'm tempted to put ours up again this year, but there's been a great deal of bear activity in our neighborhood, so (as much as I'd love to capture a brown bear photo...LOL), I'm erring on the side of caution for a change. And if I'm not mistaken, that fae is probably a Crane Fly, which (since it eats mosquito larvae) could be considered a magical creature...LOL!
Hey anything that eats mosquitoes is a magical creature!
Those are some interesting pictures! They were definitely nice in letting you snap those pictures.
Come to think of it, I use to see hummingbirds more as a kid than I do today. I wonder what happened...
Thanks, @foxyspirit! I've found bribery works wonders whenever I try to take pictures of wildlife...LOL!
Interesting, because the opposite is true for me. I've seen many more as an adult than as a kid. Hope you see more soon!
They all migrated to you. Stop it with your good bribery :P
LOL! I haven't put my feeder out this year (see my reply to @old-guy-photos above), so hopefully that helps you! 😊
I've been trying to take hummingbird photos this week, so I can really appreciate yours! Man, they are fast!
Your sky photos are beautiful, too!
Yes, they are wicked fast, @melinda010100! I'm actually surprised how well my camera managed back then - it was an older Olympus, not my current Nikon. And thanks so much!
It’s always cool going through our archives looking at what we were doing back then
Those hummingbird shots are super cool
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)
I can get lost in my archives for days, @tattoodjay! 😂
And thanks so much for the kind words, and for hosting this! 🤗
The same for me and my pleasure to host this :)
Humming birds always so pretty, stunning skies and a wonderful walk down memory lane Traci.
