Physically Tired but Spiritually Charged

in #christianity7 years ago (edited)

Yesterday and today I was away from my home and that is why I wasn't able to post something here on steemit.com website.

Just to share the experience and hopefully you will be blessed in a way I decided to write about this experience.

It was my girlfriend's idea ( @ellebravo ) to go there actually and not mine.

As far as I recall, she mentioned that she will be visiting our Pastor friend, Pastor Jhesmer and have a small chat with him and his wife about something in life. I told her that if I will be having funds available I will definitely join her in that way she will not be alone there. It was a good thing that I was able to withdraw some funds from steemit and I really do owe you guys a big thanks for that on making it happen.
So to cut the story short yep I was able to go and join her on the journey. It was only a 3 rides away from home and what my worries are since we do not have enough funds, where we will get our food and lodging etc.

Kuya Jhezmer ( @jhesmerpaloma ) , me ( @tpkidkai ) and April ( @ellebravo )

Pastor Jhezmer and his wife Me-Ann were both missionary trainees in Rizal, by February they will finish the training and as a part of their activity they have this called By Faith travel ( Please do pardon if my term is not correct but I will explain it later on ) Both of them are so excited to share their stories to us and we are so glad and blessed that we are able to attend and have some bonding time with them.

So here's what is the By Faith Travel is it is a missionary challenge in preparation of what might happen in the future. They went to Baguio, and they are left there. Their mission is to be back in Rizal within 5 days and in every location that they will visit, they will need to evangelize and share the gospel of Christ to the people that they will be having a conversation with. It might sound really hard, because if you will be visiting a place and then sharing the gospel of Christ to others some of us might feel shy or every emotion will burst for sure. Especially during your first time in doing so. But wait there's more aside from that they are left nothing, no food, no money and no communication at all. They are divided into 2 groups of 5 each. The husband and wife were separated, so you can just imagine the stress and strain that it might brought to both parties.

Being in a place wherein you do not know, no money, no communication to other people and stuff. But hey there is something really good about this challenge. You know what it is ?

THERE IS GOD.

Pastor Jhezmer's group were blessed financially and was able to find rest in a good place with airconditioned rooms, while Ate MeAnn's group on their first night, they slept in Burnham park in Baguio. Imagine the cold place the park and everything, but do not worry there is still GOD.

Both of them were able to arrive in Rizal safe and sound but the challenge is really something that will make you believe and make your faith grow stronger.

I'd ask Pastor Jhezmer to have an account here on steemit in that way he will be able to share his experience and also even help it on the missionary events, because I do know that the folks here in steemit are so awesome and they will be welcomed with open arms.

As for the experience of Ate MeAnn, she told us that on their first night it was really cold, and they did have a hard time of sleeping in the open park. They gave thanks to God for their deliverance and the sleep that they got. As they continue on their journey, they slept to the brgy halls, municipal halls and would you believe they even slept in a police station? On that 5 days Faith Trip, she was able to take a bath for once only and the food they are only able to eat for 3 times in that experience. But still she was able to smile while she was sharing her experience to us. She was thankful that God delivered them to safety.

This is Ate MeAnn while she was sharing the experience to us, you will not be hearing something like she regret the experience or not. She is so thankful of the experience because it teaches her a lesson and that is to trust God even more and also to continue on praying. As their group prayed they are able to receive the goodness of the Lord.

The people from the local church really loved the couple and they even stated that Ate MeAnn should be rewarded with some ice cream!

It was our first time to visit the church of Pastor Jhezmer that has been attending to before he went on the missionary training and I can say that those people are so loving and kind. We received the warmest welcome from the people in the community. We are really a shy couple but still they are able to make us feel comfortable and at home with their presence. You can definitely say that their community is a living testimony about Christ goodness and being a Christlike person. On my case I felt that we went to a mini retreat/ anniversary staycation. Wherein what we did is pray and then reflect on the word of God and more EATING.
Hahaha

Our breakfast was spam and egg, and dilis ( anchovies )

For our board and lodging we stayed in the house of one of the elders named Ate Nessy, it is a mansion type house wherein there's a lot of trees and grass on the backyard. We rested there and took our sweet time resting in the place as we are being served with foods and even coffee and sharing time too about their lives and also ours.

In the Sunday Service, to show how grateful we are to their warm welcome and also how we are blessed on how God is moving into the lives of the people from the church we decided to share a small special number which is a song Saving Grace from Hillsong

Here's our take away from the journey that we had yesterday and today.

  1. There is God, he is real and he is alive. You might feel that he is away at times but the truth is he is always there. Guiding us and saving us.
  2. Never stop praying, it really works. Ate MeAnn is a good testimony on that. Without the prayer of the people around her and the people that love her she might get really weak without eating for the past days.
  3. In every trials that you will experience, trust God. Even if you are feeling weak or something always do trust God because he only wants the best for you. We might not understand how he works, but for sure he will only do that to bring us a triumphant victory in the end.

After hearing the messages of the faith travel, somehow a part of my heart says that "Lord I want to do that too in the future" Please pray for us so that Jesus Christ will lead us to those plans of him so that his name may be glorified and magnified.

In the future, I guess we might be visiting other churches too and share the gospel and share our life. Please do pray for us and also pray for the people who are used for the mission of spreading the word of God to people that doesn't know him yet.

This is the building where they are worshiping the Lord, if incase that you are from Calamba Laguna and wanting to visit them feel free to do so for sure they will be glad to accept you with open arms.

That's all for me today I do hope that you had a blessed Sunday too.

Also I would love to have a small conversation with you guys on how blessed you are today or even in the past days feel free to comment that below.

I'd be waiting for your answer and also if you have a prayer request please do leave a comment on that. I would love to pray for you.
