The whole flat earth theory was heavily promoted by some of my favourite esoteric teachers last year who went completely crazy after diappearing to prison in Australia for a while after exposing the elite for child abuse and more. He was really good and turned nuts. The community suspected MK Ultra. What came out of that was a tons of people following this new (old) believe all of a sudden and presented tons of dubious eveidence for their claims. None of which made sense.
The best thoughts I heard about this is that the whole flat earth conspiracy is a so-called psy-ops to confuse and devide us. There are several psy-ops out there that have no other porpuse than to distract us from the truth and to ridicule conspiracy theories.

Yeah I mainly agree, I don't know about the MK Ultra connection and all that but you are right about causing a divide in the truth community. That is why I am debating it, trying to reel some people back in to reality that should be on our side not calling us "globetards" and fighting against us.

Seriously...the Bible and science are compatible. Thus consider these two: (Isaiah 40:NIV) "He sits enthroned above THE CIRCLE OF THE EARTH..... He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in." and...
(Job 26:7) "He stretches out the north over the empty place, AND HANGS THE EARTH ON NOTHING...
I vote for you...he's only speculating, and has no references to back him up whatsoever. But you gotta give him some credit for his chutzpah.
It was one of the most frustrating debates I have ever been in. I agree with you 100% the Bible says the Earth is a sphere. A religion that does say the Earth is flat is Islam. So as a Christian I agree with the Bible and with reality.
Next time I debate any of these fools I am going to create the debate, and I am going to set it to time limits for each person, where the other person is muted until you pass them the mic and each person gets an equal amount of time to speak. This unstructured nonsense was a waste of time.

I find flat earth to be similar to 'the moon is made of cheese'... it boggles my brain to even think about it.
