1000 Posts on Steemit, a Recap of My Journey So Far on Steemit

How I came Across Steemit

I had just released a few videos on YouTube which were demonetized for various ridiculous reasons, one being the information was too controversial for advertisers because it discussed the Orland False Flag Shooting. So I was pretty fed up with the censorship on all the various platforms I was on. Then on August 10th, 2016 both @LukeWeAreChange and @CorbettReport both did a video on this new platform called "Steemit" where censorship due to the block chain was basically impossible. Also for video producers like myself, it was another way to monetize your content which helps people like me create more content, and improve the quality of my films. Monetizing content also helps you pay for promotion of your content via "boost promotions" etc, not just on Steemit but on any platform. So after seeing the two videos by two individuals I trust in the truther community, it swayed me into checking out Steemit.

The More they Try to Censor the More Alternatives are Created

The more the powers that shouldn't be try to centralize control of information by using tactics like censorship the more people will fall through their fingertips of control and find the truth for their own. The more the platforms like YouTube, Reddit, Facebook and twitter censor people, the more people it has driven to using alternative sites like steemit. I never would have joined steemit if it wasn't for YouTube censorship. I think the powers that shouldn't be, are a lot better at flooding the internet with misinformation, creating so much garbage no one can sort it out, instead of trying to censor information. When they out rightly censor people, people find and create alternatives means to distribute the information. In this age of information it is far more effective to just spread massive lies, than it is to cover one up. Alternatives like this steemit platform greatly benefit from the desire to speak freely and not be censored. The crackdown on Reddit over PizzaGate for example drove a lot of people not only to Voat, but also here to steemit. In example, to fight back against the censorship I have now joined Steemit, Minds, Gab.ai, Vid.Me, and BitChute. That's five more new platforms I am on, all that I have to maintain, just to get around the censorship.

The Steemit Community

Of all the social media platforms I am on, I actually enjoy this steemit community the best. I think the people that post and create content here, even the ones I disagree with, are far better than your average YouTuber, or your Average FaceBook user. The amount of high quality research, put together in very professional looking blogs, that are not rife with advertisements and distractions, is awesome. I would not have taken PizzaGate as seriously as I did if it weren't for articles on Steemit right from the get go, that got me well pissed off enough to start covering that story that I am currently working on a documentary for. The contests and the other fun things on steemit always keep me coming back for more. I really do favor this platform over all the other ones. I have been in countless debates on here, but most of the arguments are legit arguments, not often does it result in the other person getting so upset that they flag me. I think this steemit platform will only continue to grow, and I love the fact I am at almost 4,500 SP, because having some SP allows me to up-vote articles I enjoy and ensures no small troll bot account can flag down my posts. All in all I think we have created a great online community together, and I look forward to meeting even more "steemians" this year.

The ability to make money, actual money from every post, comment and sometimes just by up-voting has made this site almost addictive. Like I always have to check to see how much steem power I have made in 24 hours, or I like to check my rank on Steemwhales.com. It is almost like a video game, as you try to climb the same ladder to "whaledom" as everyone else. I don't even really care about the money part, it is more about how you build up influence and value in the community that keeps me coming back for more. I still have never cashed out, other than a single transaction just to see if you could and to own my first ever tiny portion of a bitcoin. I have posted many times just for SP, and I have powered up a few times. I have never powered down, nor do I intend to.

Moving on Up to be a Big Fish in the Sky

I have come a long way since my first steemit introduction post to now. I feel like I am no longer a minnow on this platform, that I am at least a "dolphin" now. I have almost 500 followers, 490 to be exact, I have almost 4,500 SP, and my reputation score is a 65, placing me in the top 400 steemians in terms of rep. I have about 1000 dollars in value for my account, which means I make on average about $1 USD per post. What do you think am I a dolphin now or still a minnow? I have taken on the biggest content creator on this site "The Doomporn Vigilante", and many others. I have brought, at least from what I can tell, about 100 people or more to join steemit and more still to come. I mention this platform in countless YouTube videos on my channel, and on YouTube alone I have close to 16,000 subs and have generated over 1.5 millions views in about 1 year of running. So my prediction is, my audience will continue to grow and my steemit following will continue to grow. As YouTube and others censor more and more content, more people will come to steemit. The only way we could kill this inevitable growth is to start censoring content on steemit. Unless it is plagiarism, or some violations of terms of use, then we should not be flagging the content.

So thanks for reading this, I hope you find this insightful. Hopefully some of you will up-vote this article so I can keep climbing that ladder of SP power to move on up. Hey, If I follow you and I up-vote you regularly then up voting me helps you as well. If you are someone I should follow but don't let me know in the comments. I can't wait to meet many more people and shatter a few more confirmation biases between now and my 2000th post. This article is for 100% SP Power.

I also heard about Steemit first from the corbettreport.com and from one of your early pizzagate videos on YouTube! I thought it sounded interesting, incorporating blockchain technology, and the blatant censorship on reddit was also reaching ludicrous levels.

Thanks for your contributions and for helping to lead me here, cheers! Is there an ETA on your new Doc? Can't wait!

That's awesome that you ran into Steemit through @lukewearechange's youtube videos! I know for a fact many others who are here thanks to him as well!

Glad you've had some success writing here too! Keep it up!

Thanks, just gave you a follow. Peace.

Glad you found us, I also heard about SteemIt via thecorbettreport.com -
On another note, I have heard 5000 SP is the line for a dolphin. I am quickly approaching it as well.

Glad you are here.

@titusfrost I thank you for your contribution. It's people like you and others that brought me to SteemIt. I hope to bring hundreds if not thousands over as well from LinkedIn. Keep posting great content brother! Your "Glitches" are appreciated.

I learned about Steemit from a High Impact Flix video on Thanksgiving. I cancelled my Twitter account and barely go on Fakebook except for my kids and grandkids, nieces, etc. I love getting paid to be myself!
