Harry Kane!!! It was a superb performance from the English man, beating the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, Edison Cavani to the record of the most goals scored in 2017 for both club and country. For the past two game weeks, Kane has entertained us with hat-tricks and would deservedly get next gameweek off to cool and return with his bang as always. This just confirms the inside theory of 'always captain Kane!',

My team is set up in a 3-4-3 formation. I'm yet to change that, and I don't see myself changing that anytime soon till I can afford a top defender/midfielder.

Goalkeeper
It was another frustrating game for De Gea, having to concede two goals against Burnley, which makes it three straight games now without a clean sheet. But I'm still going to stick with him because he has been the most consistent goalkeeper and it's a pleasure to have him on my team. Hopefully, Mourinho fixes the defence soon and we can get back to our shoutout ways.

Defenders
I am seriously considering selling off Ben Davies of Tottenham due to his inconsistent game time as a result of coach Pochettino's rotation policy with Danny Rose. I cannot afford to drop defenders points week in week out, that might just be my transfer of the gameweek, coupled with the fact that they are not playing this gameweek. Burnley ended up conceding two goals against Manchester United after going two goals up. Ben Mee finished the game with just a point. My surest defender meanwhile kept a clean sheet against Benitez Newcastle and earned me 8 points.

Midfielders
Riyad Mahrez is looking like a decent purchase from me after earning me 8points with his first goal for me. The last gameweek, he gave me an assist, this time around he stepped up with a goal. Hopefully, he scores two next gameweek LOL. Once again, Davis Silva was missing in the line-up and Mc Arthur came in as my automatic sub who could manage just 1 point. Mohammed Salah who was my captain for the gameweek could only manage two assists in the game despite my desperate plea for goals. Raheem Sterling (I wrote an article on him recently)continued his fine form in from of goal by scoring Manchester City's only goal against a stubborn Newcastle side.

Strikers
With Everton rumoured to be in the market for a new striker in January and Brighton'sinterest in Celtic's Dembele, time might be running out for Calvert-Lewin in my team, after failing to make an impact this gameweek. Harry Kane meanwhile scored his second hat-trick in two matches as he is showing everyone that he can be mentioned in the same sentence with the football greats like Lionel Messi, His time might just be ticking in Tottenham and he would begin to realise that in order to improve further, he needs to part ways with spurs. Roberto Firmino got in the action and scored a goal while providing an assist too. Firmino is in a very good form at the moment and will just stay longer in my team.

Moving on to my mini-league 'Fantasizers', I was able to close the gap to the first position by 20 points this gameweek as poor decisions made Team Ifedayo FPL slip up. But sadly I also dropped to third. The race for the first position is really heating up and it will be interesting to see how things turn out in the new year.
