Naturalistic

It is the ability to recognize and evaluate the relationship between a person and the world around him. Astronomers, biologists and zoologists are an excellent example of a well-developed naturalistic intelligence. By the way, initially it was not in theory, but after a while Gardner added it.

As soon as the theory began to gain popularity, many scientists wanted to create a test that would show the level of these models of the intellects of any person. Various variants of such tests were proposed. However, Gardner and his colleagues came to the conclusion that such a test is extremely difficult. He named two reasons:

He can not measure the effectiveness of the intellect. Questions in them are called only to learn about preferences, skills, interests and skills.
In order for the test results to be accurate, developed awareness is needed. And if so, it is impossible to get accurate results, because each person's level of awareness is at different levels.

What conclusions can we draw on the basis of Gardner's theory?

He encourages us to appreciate and respect people who failed in the IQ test. And it's true, because you can perfectly understand yourself and people and at the same time have some problems with the standard test. In many areas, the level of IQ does not help to achieve great success, and in some cases it does not.

He encourages us to develop a multifaceted nature. Each person can have almost all models of intelligence of Gardner at a high level. This exaggerates the person in general.
Gardner was one of the first who said that the talents of a person can be completely different, and most importantly - to learn how to apply them. He tried to prove that the IQ test is eloquent only in certain situations and can not say anything about the person as a whole. Many of his theory was enthralled, especially people who were crossed in educational institutions, based on a standard test. So Gardner was right or not, but he did a lot to make the scientists approach the intellect of man more carefully.
