Stop overthinking
Then I thought: “you’re thinking about it all wrong, you’re thinking of all the failures, instead of seeing what you’ve learned!” Every failure got me closer to success. I wrote down what didn't work, and chalked it off and moved to the next... I eventually had a whole book full of what didn’t work. I came into this thing by myself, no help, no guidance… Just researching and trying to apply logic. I hit every bump in the road. I kept pushing on. Trying new things, chalking up what worked what didn’t work. I started to get smarter, wiser, quicker to what to try and what to avoid. Eventually, my own notes became my guide. The blueprints I created from my very own failures.
Constantly learning. Obsessively learning. When I found out what worked, I never stopped pushing. I learned what worked with weight-loss and I literally took it to the extremes. I went to the edge of the cliff… Then jumped off the f***ing cliff. I marked where the edge was. I kept falling off the cliff… Pushing to see where the abyss really was. I know where it is now. I know the area, what to look for when approaching it. I keep at the edge and take the smaller inch steps. An inch here a centimeter there. To see if my body can adapt and force the abyss to move back more…
Keep in mind the body is not meant to lose fat. People with higher metabolisms can manage weight better. Some people are born bigger and develop more muscle mass quicker and easier than others. Some kids exercised or played sports at a very young age when others didn't. The point is, you must trick the body to lose-weight if you’re having trouble with your weight.
I’ve tried a lot of different diets, especially when I first started out. I still have my old notes, all the diets that didn't work for me. The list is very long. I just wasn’t a quitter. Don’t quit. Think of everything you’ve tried and learned. Take a piece of paper, write down on one side what works, on the other what doesn't.
