Alpine ibex
Another day another animal post from me to you, i still have some shots i didn't share with you guys. For today the Alpine ibex from Artis Zoo in Amsterdam.
I have seen these animals in the wild in Switzerland when i was a teenager, to see them we started our hike that day at 4a.m. i will do a search if i can find some shots from those days, i think i have to look trough some old slides.
Back to these zoo animals who have a great habitat full of climbing opportunities for thees animals. My favorite picture in these series is the one of the ibex goat standing on the tree stump, the third photo.

WoW...That's some pretty awesome goat pictures so should enter some of them in the @dailypetphotography contest hosted by @kona some of them are winners for sure :)
Thank you so much @hangin Will have a look at that contest. At the moment just two standard challenge. Monomad and wednesdaywalk. But more are welcome.
My pleasure you are welcome :)
I have always wondered if animals with big horns feel any type of pain in their heads or necks :|
That's an interesting question indeed, will be doing some googling on that i think. Thanks for your visit and comment.
That is a cute little Ibex playing on the stump, while it looks like the grand dad of them all look on from on high. Some very nice photography.
Thank you so much @bashadow. Indeed it was a very playful little ibex. Later she was jumping around but i didn't got a sharp shot of that. And indeed granddad stayed on top of the rocks overlooking the flock.
The Ibex in the first photos has a magnicent set of horns. Lovely captures.
Thank you so much @redheadpei
