The death toll is rising tragically day by day. Initially only the elderly were infected with the virus, but now the younger generation is facing the same situation. The death toll in Sri Lanka has crossed 100 for the first time yesterday. For us in a small country like Sri Lanka, that is a huge amount. The government has also decided to extend the travel restriction period to the 21st of this month.
These days, the cost of living may seem overwhelming. Sri Lanka is a country with a lot of workers. Many people are helpless because of this situation.
At the same time, The government had decided to increase fuel prices. With the current situation in the country, it is very difficult for people to bear this. I think the government should think further about this. Because even the most essential employees go to their duties with great difficulty.
At the same time, there is another special news item. A lot of people talked about it before fuel prices. That is when the ship caught fire near the coast of Sri Lanka. We lost a lot of valuable things because of this. We learned that this caused great harm to marine life. This condition can have a devastating effect on the lives of valuable animals, such as fish and turtles. This caused great damage to the coral reefs as well. Sri Lanka is a country of great natural beauty. I think this country needs more people who love the country. I think even the government should be more interested in these things. During this time many problems were faced by the people. I hope that after all this, people will be able to live freely again.....
