Believe in dreams
Hello Steemian!
Now I will talk to you about my « dreamer » side.
In fact, I’ve always liked to learn and discover new things since my childhood. (For example dancing as you guys did notice from my latest posts).
So sometimes I don’t know where to start when I have to write my CV or to answer questions during job interviews.
If I have to sum up, my world is all about that word « learning ».
I grew up in a small village near Strasbourg (it is called Oberhausbergen). My parents came from Vietnam and gave up everything there to built something new in France. My mother is half french/ half Vietnamese, she is from Danang, and my father is from Phu Nhuan. Because of their sacrifices, they wanted to give me the best education that’s possible in France and basically giving me the best, like the confort because they didn’t have the chance to have all of that, which is why they wanted to give it to me.

My mother put me in a comfort zone, of should I say she put me into a perfect life and I didn’t need anything or lack anything. To tell you the truth I’m not sure that it was good for me but I can’t blame her…it’s all about the motherhood.
Also I can understand why she wanted to protect me so much. She actually lost my big brother in Vietnam when he was a baby, because at the time Vietnam wasn’t as developed medically as it is now. And then a year after my birth she got hit by a truck and lost a leg.
I spent my childhood next to her on the floor and maybe that’s why I’m now a breakdancer (it’s a dancing style in which you dance on the ground), also I think that is also why I’m sleeping so well on the floor in Vietnam.
I’ve learnt and learnt and I’m still learning to come back to my mom one day and to tell her: Mother your son has grown up!
But I won’t ever forget her teachings and the best one is definitely this: « In this world, people will hurt you, they are ready to do anything for the fame and the money. Don’t be like them, use your heart to succeed and like this you will be even happier ».
But today if I have to give her answer it would be: « I accept to smile and I accept to suffer, that’s the happiness. Anyway, I’m not alone mother, everybody has a heart ».
From my 9 to my 13 years old, I was a little kid who was passionate by the swimming and history classes thanks to my french teacher at the time (wink to this awesome teacher). I was kind of like the asian stereotyped kid, I mean I was always ranked first in my class, I had my glasses on everyday with a nice shirt.
And then my mother wanted me to attend a reputed international school in Strasbourg, in fact it was the best one (Kleber secondary School).
But I was too lazy to go there and also I wanted to try something new. So I decided to attend another secondary school in the suburb (in a neighborhood called Hautepierre) and that’s how I got to learn so many different things.
It was quite overwhelming for me because it was the first time that I met people coming from so many different countries from different continents such as Africa, Asia and of course Europe…, we all had different backgrounds, cultures, religions but we all had the same values such as the « sharing ».
At the time, I learnt that you should never judge someone cause you never know if the side that they are showing you is the good one or the angle that you are looking at is the right one.
I believe that human can’t live alone and we need each other to go forth. That’s why I ended up on this platform cause I found something in this community that goes well with my philosophy.

Then I found out about breakdancing and I started to practice day and night outside to reach a good level.
At the end of high school I was kinda lost, like I had no idea at all what I wanted to become. So I took the decision to learn what I was interested in without knowing if that could give me a job once I would graduated.
I’ve spent many years at the university learning chinese, japanese, medicine, English etc. But I had to have a degree in something to make my parents proud (you know that paper that you can put on a wall and show it off).
So I finally got a degree in Marketing/Communication, and then my parents were happy…but I wasn’t.
I started to get interested in the entrepreneurship and the business and I started to learn by myself.
That’s when I met two person who did really help and inspire me on this path and they taught me lots of things on this field (@Ekitcho/@Hightouch).
The first one taught me about the world of business (import/export - Retail, Sourcing etc) and the second one who is more like a nerd, he gaves me lots of keys about the digital world (coding, e-commerce, design etc).
And then I got thirsty of the knowledge, it became automatic.
I started to gather lots of informations and I still do about these world and it is all thanks to the books, articles, videos etc

In 2016, I made the decision to go to China (Guangzhou) to get more experiences in the business field. That’s when I met Fredo, that guy who could speak Chinese and french, did accept my request, and then he started to teach me more about this world of sharks.
I learnt a lot about the business in China and that’s how I could add another knowledge in my luggage/competence.

After years of learning I’ve finally taken the decision to challenge myself and to go back to my ancestors roots and make it here…So here I am in Vietnam!
To be continued...

Your post made me keep reading word by word until at the end. Nice to become your friend in here and hope we can meet each other offline someday.
thanks you :D
