Emergencies of Life!
Hey Y'all!
Well...we've been MIA a couple days. Believe me, I'd much rather have been steeming away and normal day to day life. Thursday afternoon my 5 yo daughter had a low-grade fever. About 7 pm she began staring off into space and then began having a seizure. We waited a bit for her to stop. When she didn't, we grabbed her and jumped into our truck and met the ambulance in town to take her to the children's hospital. They finally got it to stop after about an hour of seizing. They eventually admitted her to observe her. It was probably one of the scariest things I've ever seen. And we've been through a lot medically with our children. The doctors had conflicting plans for her. The team of doctors didn't agree and were giving us different answers. We believe she had a febrile seizure which is brought on by fever. Anyway, long story short, we are home resting. We don't really do doctors, so we are glad to be home. But in an emergency we feel it is necessary. Thanks for watching. Seizures are truly terrifying. At least febrile ones are not something that you're going to be dealing with day and and day out.
Thankful you are home resting and hope your little ones heals up and you are all able to be healthy!

Oh, my! What a very scary experience for all of you. Thank the Creator that she is recovering well. There is nothing like have a child sick and you can't do anything for them. I can't say I blame you for putting the pedal to the medal. I would have done the exact same thing in your shoes.
She's had open heart surgery and finger surgery. Neither as scary. I felt so helpless.
Praise Yah that she is ok and recovering well!!! I can't even imagine what you both went through!

So thankful she's ok. I agree, there is nothing worse than feeling helpless when it comes to your child's health. We've had a few scares and have been blessed with good outcomes as well, but those situations are good reminders for us to keep our priorities straight. As for that button that could take it all away, I've said the same thing. But then I have to remind myself that through those struggles our kids come out stronger, with more grit and resilience, kind of like the butterfly from the cocoon or the chick from the egg. That fight builds character and strengthens their resolve... But it still is no fun for us parents. Big hugs to you both! 💖

hey guys, that's why our authority as Believers is so important, I talked about the storms, that's not why it's most important, it's our kids and our responsibility for them.
I rejoice with you that she is fine, praise God! so I suppose maybe you'll be back tomorrow or did you get used to taking the day off?
I was praying and binding the enemy all the way to town! For some reason the enemy would love to have her. She's been attacked so many times. I pray for protection and covering over my kids all the time.
The seizure was from the fever. Spiked so fast and her body reacted like that.
howdy @thefarmerswife! oh I know you do all that, I'm sorry that I gave you the wrong impression, I was not doubting that. thanks for explaining the medical cause of that. You guys did everything right spiritually and medically of course.
we have been through many many battles for decades with the enemy trying to take our kids and then grandkids so yes it is true that he is after all children of Believers. and now I'm stuck..I don't really want to say more on an open forum. I'll give you my email if you want to talk more but know this...I love and respect you guys and admire you greatly.
Thank you. You are passionate about your God. You didn't offend me at all. The past 2 years I have learned more than the 33 before that. I have confidence in my God, but my humanity gets the best of me at times. My fears have gotten less and less as I surrender more and more. It's all in His control. Hard to wrap your mind around at times. :) and you are more than welcome to give me your email.
