A Balanced and Mixed Diet II
Feeding a cat a mixed diet can stimulate enjoyment that comes variety. Cats like to explore and try new and delicious treats with enthusiasm. Giving a choice of dry and wet foods will reveal greater levels of satisfaction as they leap between the different textures of foods. A good way to implement a mixed diet will see dry food available throughout the day in moderation to allow small meals on frequent basis.
It is not uncommon to see nibbles now and then, introducing wet foods will see a wave of excitement at every main meal time while introducing various sources of protein. A cat will appreciate the difference in texture and approach food with great attention. The different textures will in turn stimulate oral hygiene and do away with accumulated plaque around the teeth.
