Johnny The Giant

Hey Steemians - Haven't posted any process images in a while... Thought I'd post this one. It's a fun image.

That's my buddy Johnny, he's a really nice guy. He's a real artist (though, now, he says I"m the real artist, since I spend so much time making art (over 2,682 days in a row now). Anyways- my recollection is that there is a website called Worth1000 - it's a photoshop contest website. You get a theme, and you make an image to fit that theme. This time, the theme was "Giants amongst us".

The photo of the boat and the grass, and the water, and the birds --- that's my old back yard. I had a place in Fort Lauderdale, on the intersection of the ocean and port everglades- so all the cruise ships, etc would go out through my back yard. There's a hilarious story there about my last week there... Short version: I spent my last week there blasting airhorns at night, since all the old people there kept blasting airhorns in the morning, when I was asleep.

So, I took the photo of Johnny in the water, reaching down, as if to grab a boat.... I took a photo of a boat going through. I took a photo of the birds flying, and I combined them. I also cleaned the grass up.

It was a fun pic to create.... I should really get back to making photo art. It was always fun, I just haven't used my camera in a long long time... It's easier to take a photo on a cell phone :)
