Hello from Costa Rica
I've been living in Costa Rica for just over 4 1/2 years, having moved from South Florida. It's been an experience to say the least, but one that I wouldn't change for anything! Stepping out of my "U.S. comfort zone" really opened my eyes. I've learned so much about myself, and I've come to realize what's really important in life. And it isn't the "stuff" that I, like so many, had acquired.
I worked for many years as a chief #compliance officer in the #financial services industry. I loved my job , but was happy to leave when the opportunity presented itself. Now my days are spent with friends, exploring small towns and beaches, jungles and waterfalls. While many seem to have issues with "retirement", I've not had one single regret.
I look forward to sharing my adventures, and welcome any questions that you might have.

sold everything in the U.S. Well, almost everything anyway. Still have some property there but that's it. My husband retired at 55, which was his major goal in life. I was fortunate enough to be able to quit my job in the financial services industry. Thanks for asking! It's a great life!
