Wolf Silhouette
Hello again everyone! This is my second black paper drawing.
I drew a silhouette of a wolf in a cold winter because I think a wolf is just an amazing animal. Especially when they howl, that spine-tingling howl which they use to communicate is just Super cool. I wish I could see a real living wolf in person, but not in a situation where it's going for my neck though.hehe😁
So,as usual I will show to you the step by step process of how I drew it;
Materials Used
Black Paper(A4 size)
White Charcoal
Eraser
White gel pen
Step 1: Outline
Yep! Let's start at drawing the outline for our wolf using light strokes of white charcoal. This white charcoal is easy to erase so its ok to make a lot of errors in this step.
Step 2: Initial Highlights
In here, I drew some fur around his mouth and forehead using the white charcoal. This is the fur that is hit by light source.
Step 3: More Highlights
Then, adding more details in the lower part of the wolf's silhouette. I did this by doodling some lines while looking at the reference photo. The wolf's fur is longer at the body while the head's fur is shorter. I did a lot of erasing here because I find it hard to draw longer fur that look natural.
Step 4: Adding more details
Now, I added more details in the back side of the wolf that is slightly hit by the light source. The wolf silhouette is now complete.
Step 5: Inking
Now that the wolf is done with white charcoal, I started to ink it with the white gel pen to make the color white pop out even more. And I added some dots around the wolf to indicate the snow and his breath and then added my steemit username at the bottom to complete the process.

Thank you very much @vitalmistake
This is such a cool drawing!! Tho at first i thought the dots around the wolf were stars up high in the sky, after reading only I realised they're snow and the breath of the wolf, lol. XD
Oh yeah! Now that you mention it, it does look more like stars. hehe.XD you have great observation skills😄
Haha...thank you!! I look forward to more of your drawings... :)
