Sepia Saturday from walking around Soho
Sepia Saturday from walking around Soho
Happy Saturday everyone and as it is Saturday time for a Sepia Saturday post for the challenge hosted by @old-guy-photos.
This is a challenge I enjoy joining I love how Sepia Images have a sort of timeless feel to them, that said I seldom did Sepia till this challenge started, but now I try and make it a regular thing for my Saturday morning post.
For this weeks post, I will share a few shots I took while walking around the Soho area of Manhattan that I thought would work well in Sepia.
Starting with this shot of one of the entrances to the Path Train, with the cool archway over the entrance to head down the stairs to the Path Train Station and tracks.

And down the road I came across this cool little setup with the table and chairs and a birdhouse, in the front of a residential building, Space is at a premium often in NYC, so this is making optimum use of this little space.

I came across this Cross which if I remember correctly is on St Lukes Church, I had tried to edit this in color but it really did not do it Justice, but I think it worked quite well in Sepia.

And finishing off with this shot of an entrance to the ST Luke inthe field Barrow Street Garden

I think it is awesome how there are so many different entrances to the subway system in New York. Some of the are huge and ornate like Grand Central Station and then others are just a hole in the sidewalk with a set of stairs leading you down...
Yes that is a very cool thing for sure in the city always such variety in so many things including the entrances to the subways, Funnily enough last night i was editing shots of a couple of the entrances into Grand Central

That's cool photos you have my friend, by the way I was curious. What is religion in your place? Why there's a cross and St. Lukes church?
