A while back I took a walk through Riverside Park Sout on the West Side of Manhattan and came across this old Structure, I am not exactly sure what it all is parts of it looked like some sort of hoist and parts look like a bridge but it has seen better days and I thought it would make for some interesting mono shots which I will share today.
This part of it is the bit I say looks like some sort of structure for hoisting things, but I could well be wrong.
As these shots are all different types of mono edits this will be an entry for Monochrome Monday hosted by @old-guy-photos

I went for a more Sepia style edit for this next shot, this is a part that looked to me like at some stage it may have been some form of bridge

Looking closer at what I call the bridge-like structure, it looks like it has been damaged by fire at some stage

Is this down south of the Intrepid museum? I feel like I remember seeing it. We walked from Battery Park up to the Intrepid the day we visited the museum.
Yes thats right the intrepid is at 46th Street, and this is south at 70th Street
The approaches and filters you have used make the shots something special.

Wow! Without that final color image, I thought this was covered with muscles or barnacles rather than burned. It looks like something for getting a ship into or out of the water possibly.
Indeed thats why I had to do one shot in color to show the charring and yes that makes sense about what it probably was for
