Following on from my previous post about this Rhino Sculpture The Last Three, I thought I would share some closer in shots highlighting some of the detail, this first shot looking up at the top two in the piece and you can start to see some of the detail in this piece.

Look at the detail in this closer in shot of the head of the Rhino at the bottom of the tower of three
The piece is entitled The Last Three and is by New York and Sydney based husbandand wife contemporary art Duo Gillie and Marc Shattner
The piece is a brass sculpture and weighs 7 tons and stands 17 feet high.

And this final shot is looking up at the rhino at the top of the sculpture, all in all even though some choose to see this as a monstrosity I see it as a beautiful art piece.
Especially when you consider it is linked to a project to highlight that there are only three of the Northern White Rhinos in existence and this is part of a larger project called goodbye Rhinos which if you want to learn more about you can click the link.
This Art piece is hoped to raise awareness and funds ot protect and save the last three remaining Northern White Rhinos.

Only to July ... that is a shame. Do you know ... were they purchased or are they on another way to another city.
I remember reading they cost $200,000 and were made and shipped from Thailand I couldnt find any info on where they will be after NYC
