STEEM PARK - Sndbox Statue concept design
STEEM Park is the first physical project in the heard of Brooklyn, New York that represents a billboard and hub for the STEEM community. If you haven't heard about it yet than please read this post with two of the STEEM Park founders @hansikhouse and @voronoi.
Since the Park opened 4 month ago it was one of my goals to be part of future enhancements. Therefore I submitted an idea in the SNDBOX Slack channel yesterday and proposed to include two statues into STEEM Park, a statue of the STEEM logo and another statue of the SNDBOX logo.
In this post I like to introduces the concept design of the SNDBOX statue. At this point in time it is just a proposal and nothing has been confirmed yet. I will work together with two sndbox members @mintvilla and @paolobeneforti going forward to see if the concept can be brought into reality.
With the introduction being done, please find below some images I made showing my current idea of a SNDBOX statue within STEEM Park.
There are still many things that need to be discussed like material, size and so on but I hope that eventually this design or something similar will be implemented next year. I am definitely looking forward to work with the team on some ideas to get it done.
Please let me know in the comments what you think about a project like that and if you would be willing to contribute to it in form of donations (donations would go to @sndbox). I think based on your responses we will have a good idea if that is something worth to pursuit or if the focus should be on other projects.

@hansikhouse and @voronoi recommended me to check out your steem park sculpture proposal post. The park will accept a series of proposals for next spring. It will be exciting to develop an idea from Steemit to reality once again. Thanks for your post.

I'm all for public art - the more the better, really. But what strikes me about this idea (which is very attractive) is that it is self referential. I'd be curious what the community thinks and what the community would want for their public space. What are their stories & their symbols.
Thank you for your feedback @kenfinkel. One of the main objectives of this post is to get a feel for what the community things about the idea to include a statue of the Sndbox logo within the park. Sndbox is a group of Steemit members that aim to implement projects that help to spread the word about Steem and the steem ecosystem. Great feedback though!
To literally build in a community connection, how about a symbol inside the Sdnbox diamond?
