Dreaming of you
Dreaming of you
A thousand candles burned
with flickering flame casting shadows dim
extinguished in the midnight sun
and the dying light of your eyes.
The clouds of mind overhead
and the driving rain of a million tears dry
streaks on cheeks from the dusty road
foot in front of the other to find.
A losing game may come about
yet the game is one that has to play on
while the world spirals down
and the blue stars stare straight.
The utterances of a crazed fool
who thought it was there and locked away
but on display it always was
plain sighted and ever awake.
Pressed between sill and pane
Covered in the sheets of abandonment
the still air breathes deeply still
and lays a hand on temple firm.
Blow the cobwebs of the day away
and leave only the clarity of starry night
and in the enlightened heart stay
to never be torn asunder.

You write your poetry very differently. Your pieces weigh in emotions and expressions so wordy and I feel like I am still learning how to do this.
It is different because I don't know what I am doing, it is just an expression of thought without form or function. I guess I also tend to try to be ne without the influence of others.
I will agree that it is different but not you don't know what you are doing because I don't think any of us does. Every piece of poetry has its uniqueness but I think being used to my way of constructing stanzas is why I find other people's work so fascinating. And I mean people who don't follow the rules or what others do because I don't too.
To me, yours are solid. Packed with different moods but still punchy to the last word.
