A good way to bee
Since I posted phone photos today, I thought I would also do something else I don't usually do, post raw photos from my real camera. Normally I will edit to clean up or return colours (shooting in RAW formats wash them out) but I have to do that from my desktop which is in the baby's room. I am pretty sure she is up gaming all night...
These photos are shot on an Olympus EM-1 Mirrorless with a 40-150 kens using extension tubes for macro. Extension tubes are quite terrible to use but will do the job if you don't have enough money for a dedicated macro lens like me. I bought them on Ebay for about 20 euros and they still allow for autofocus which can come in handy at times.
As you can see, I was planning on taking some shots of bees collecting from the flowers (something I find relaxing) but the wind was much too strong. As I mentioned in the other post, my flash and trigger batteries weren't charged so I had to shoot these without a flash. There were patches of sun at times so although not the sharpest images, they aren't that bad.
I enjoy shooting in macro though so it doesn't really matter what the results are since I have fun doing it anyway. I think it has to do with bringing the attention to such a small point which means the rest of the world gets blurred out of focus. A type of meditation I guess.
These haven't been edited but I quickly cropped them from 4:3 to 16:9 to take up a little less space on the scroll. I chose these ones not because of the quality but I thought they were more interesting. Here are some busy little bees:

Hi Taraz. Will cleaning them up make that much difference? I know very little about photography and what is possible editing them and doing finishing touches. What you have captured is incredible and maybe you could do another post with a before and after for the uneducated like myself.
I don't like to do too much in edit but, it is possible to sharpen them more and bring colours out a bit. small changes can make a big difference to the overall impression
People are so different in nature that sometime it surprises you. When you said that taking shots of bees through you camera relaxes you, I found it weird. The thing is that I have some equally weird relaxing strategies. My favorite being making smallest possible paper airplanes - nothing fancy but very small. Wierd for an adult.........I know :-)

It is good to have ways to relax. I have many that I have created so that no matter the situation (just about) I can find some way to calm my head.
It's amazing how such a small insect can have such a large impact on, not only our environment but our economy.
It's not the big thing that affect the most but the small in numbers that do
It is quite amazing and more so that we know all about how much effect small things like these have yet, keep destroying them.
Hell we can't stop killing ourselves let alone any so called lower forms of life. Greed, ambition are only traits unique to humans
Yeah that reminds me of making up this with you that creatures are with their own very unique form different from all as we have our thumbs differently throughout the world so is the creatures

I like these, the truth is easy to see. Honesty of real work is more my cup of bee. If only I worked as hard at steem at the moment as these little workers work for what they really want. Time to catch up and get back on the horse I've saddled.
