As a result, many people have turned to homemade recipes to safely and naturally clean their hair. Aloe vera, a succulent plant valued for its soothing properties for the skin, is a popular staple for home shampoos. Aloe vera can gently cleanse hair and scalp, while also conditioning dry and damaged hair. It can also stimulate hair growth.
How to prepare a shampoo.
Ingredients.
-2 cups (475 milliliters) of distilled water
-180 milliliters (6 ounces) of Castile soap
-1 penca or aloe leaf, the bark is removed and the glass is cut into pieces, then liquefied.
-½ teaspoon (2.5 milliliters) of jojoba oil
-40 to 50 drops of essential oils (optional)
-56 grams (2 ounces) of dried herbs (optional)
Preparation.
1-Bring the distilled water to boiling point. Measure 2 cups (475 milliliters) of distilled water. Pour the water in a pot. Place the pot in a stove over high heat. Bring the water to boiling point.
2-If you are not going to use dried herbs, you do not need to boil the distilled water. You can mix the ingredients as is.
Add the dried herbs of your choice. If you are going to use any dry herb in the shampoo, measure them now. Remember that you should not use more than 56 grams (2 ounces) in total. When the water starts to boil, add the herbs carefully in the pot.
3-Take the pot out of the fire and strain the herbs. Turn off the fire and remove the lid of the pot. Be careful, because hot steam is likely to come out after removing the lid. Place a large bowl under a colander.
4-Add Castile soap to herbal water. It measures 180 milliliters (6 ounces) of Castile's liquid soap. Slowly pour the soap into the bowl with the water left to infuse. Mix the substances carefully as you pour the soap. It is likely that the water is very hot, so be careful not to splash.
5-Add aloe vera gel, jojoba oil and essential oils. Measure and add 2 tablespoons (30 milliliters) of aloe vera gel and ½ teaspoon (2.5 milliliters) of jojoba oil. Add them carefully in the bowl one at a time, stirring constantly. Mix the ingredients well.
If you are going to use essential oils, add them now. Remember that you should not use more than 40 to 50 drops of essential oils. Stirs well.
6-Bottles the shampoo mixture. Use a funnel to carefully pour the shampoo mixture into a plastic or glass container that can hold about 3 cups (710 milliliters or 24 ounces) of liquid. If you used normal water and did not leave the dried herbs shampoo in infusion, you can store the whole bottle in the shower without any problems.
Use the shampoo as needed. Aloe vera shampoo is gentle enough to use every time you wash your hair. You should always shake the bottle a little before using the shampoo, as the ingredients can settle to the bottom with the passage of time. Pour a little into the palm of your hand and massage it into your hair and scalp. Rinse yourself completely.
