Ulog (Sports): Will Some Level Of 'Legit Illiteracy' Enhance 'Prowess In Sports'?

in #ulog5 years ago

In a recent sportstalk, i spoke about how 'real life' impacts 'prowess in sports' etc and did you know that many things pertaining to 'real life' are written in the 'no books'. What does this mean? Well, there is so much rare intel in the 'down-to-earth' that has stayed un-revealed to the world or that the world is still very much novice to.

Yes, while many answers are sought after 'in outer-space', many answers are in the 'down-to-earth' too. The irony is, we tend to go into outer-space way too much to seek answers, leaving out the down-to-earth. There is need for balance.

When i watch sports, i tackle my own decision-making and many times, my decision-making (which applies 'real life') though misunderstood, works!!!

As i grew older, i began to write the curriculum for an entire school called 'legit illiteracy' and i started to perceive even sports in the mind's eye of a legit illiterate and yes, there are still many things un-seen by even the best coaches (in the world) in each sport. This applies to all sports, yes. As long as it involves 'humans', it applies.

Even when i play sports my different coaches have simply recycled the rules, the books, the norms. It takes them time to be influenced by my decision-making and some coaches will have to bench me first, till there is no choice or 'they get stranded' and in some cases, allow themselves to be swayed by my methods.

To create real picture, you may need the scenes. You may need to be the scene.

I look at (try to analyze) 'defense' in the NBA (well they do well in offense) and i see coach after coach tend to apply a replica (recycled) of what is 'in the books' from decade to decade, which is great but i do feel that with a balance (an addition of the 'no books'), teams will excel better.

Yes many answers related to even split-seconds-decision-making (and especially in timely-moments) in any game of sport, lie in things as simple as 'common sense'. Don't be surprised though, that 'common sense' isn't that common even among scholars of the world because the irony is, many who have come to rely only on the study of 'the books', think that 'common sense' is common.

Hahaha, it is not!!!

Common sense is mostly found in 'real life', in the jungle, on the streets, in the 'down-to-earth' and i tell you most of the curriculum(s) that makes up secular education aren't so shaped to 'mine' these things. It is mostly about the 'x + y = z'.

Did you notice that 'x + y = z' can also be 'x plus y equals z'? Simply add English into the Mathematics and beautiful disruption happens; the complex suddenly becomes common knowledge and boom, becomes for every(any)one; 'common!'

Hahaha, i may appear to speaking in parables but i am not. I am in play but i am building at the same time.

In the meantime, see this video from the past, where i was trying to brainstorm legit-illiterate ways that the CAVS could use, to beat GSW (especially in the way they defend); something they've kept struggling with, till Lebron had to go find answers at the Lakers.

Yes, many answers lie in attempting the 'simplest obviousest solutions' (d0wn-to-earth) first, instead of jumping onto the 'nth complexest solution' (outer-space) first.
