Hi Steemers, here’s my introduction!

Hello,

I really can’t sleep and I think it’s best if I introduce myself and tell you a little about me. My name is Luis and I live in California. I was introduced to steemit in July of last year, but hadn’t began using it until today. I’m a former college senior student and hopefully will be able to attend university again in the Fall to finish my degree in communications. Last October, I was diagnosed with cancer (non-hodgekins lymphoma) and had to drop out to focus on my health. I had to drop everything that I was doing in order to fight cancer. In the process, I’ve lost all my hair everywhere (yes, my eyebrows too and my pubes as well :-P). I’ve learned many things in the process of going through intense chemotherapy. First, I learned to not sweat the little things. However, I also learned to appreciate and focus on the little things that make a huge difference. I did six cycles of chemotherapy and just finished everything a few weeks ago. I still don’t have my hair back, but I’m looking forward to feeling better and appreciating the small things that can make big changes. I quit smoking cigarettes because all I thought about was death when I was smoking after I was diagnosed. Quitting smoking has made a big difference in my life and has saved me some money. I’m looking forward to hopefully being able to come up with a way to help pay for tuition in the fall: so that I can finally finish college. I’m really interested in art, photography,music, technology, media, cryptocurrency, and research.
