Greetings to all steemains!!

Hope you all are good and enjoying your lives. Today I'm here to share my medical experience through this contest. We all born at hospital and through out life we more or less need some medical assistance to cure our disease /health problems.

Are you afraid of any medical instrument? Ex: syringes, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, etc. Tell us why.

Now I'm in my fourth decade of life, so I'm not afraid of common medical instruments that are used by general physicians but before marriage I was afraid of syringes. I remember I always cried when my physician subscribed syringe to me. Now my kids behaving just like me.

Are you afraid of any medical specialist? To which? we would like to know why.

6year before when my youngest daughter Rahima was two years old, I was spraying pesticides suddenly my neighbour came to ask something. I put that spray on kitchen counter where rahima could not reach.

During talking to her I forgot what was Rahima doing it was just 2-3 minutes then I saw rahima was coughing badly her eyes were red due to suffocation and spray was near her means she sucked pesticide.

Immediately I ran toward her and took her out to the near hospital. When Dr checked rahima said at this time no child specialist available at this hospital and they did not have NICU. So I moved to big hospital having all facilities 24/7.

When I reached hospital rahima got faint and I was alone and crying. When I entered to emergency ward and took information about rahima and sent me to fulfill all requirements of hospital. They washed out her stomach and didn't allow me to enter until they finished her treatment.

She was under observation for 24hrs then NICU specialist talk to me, first he angred to me that how could a mother care less for her child and he described rahima's condition very bad, I warried and called my husband. My little angel in NICU and that pediatric specialist described wrong condition to my I didn't know why??.

I called my husband and told her all situation he came after 1hr. We were almost 9hrs at hospital but rahima was alhumdulilah quite normal but the Dr was not allowing us to take her home.

After 10hrs new Dr visited ward and I asked her to take her home then he told that her ECG was monitoring and I had checked that it's normal and stable since it was monitoring so you could take her home but keep monitoring at home too if you noticed any thing back to hospital.

I'm very much scared of that specialist and NICU unit too. They charged per hour of NICU so may be he was not allowed us to go from hospital and scared me so that he could charged for 24 hrs. I was so much scared that I didn't visit for follow up.

Do you remember any uncomfortable, painful, funny or unpleasant medical experience? Share it with us🙂

Three years before I had red/purple patch over my thigh then small pimples started over legs and itching was severe, after 1 month I visited skin specialist and advised me don't ignore it, take medicine on time and visit again after 1week. I took medicine but didn't get any difference, so I skip medicine and didn't visit Dr on time.

After 19th day my legs were full of pimples with severe itching and pain. I visited again that specialist, he became angry why did you not come on time. I had told you did not take it easy.
I asked him what happened to me he said it would be cured but take it seriously.

I started to take medicine on time but after taking of more than 2months I didn't have any difference in my condition, it became more worse than before. Other problems were starting that made me uncomfortable the whole day.

I changed 2 doctors and a herbalist, took their medicines but my condition became worse day by day. My whole body was full of pimples like chicken poxs. Due to continuous itching my body bleeds from different pimples.

My sister in law advised me to visit our family Dr, he's general physician would diagnose the problem. When I visited Dr said " it's lincan plans, an auto immune disorder, we don't have the cause so there is no treatment for this disease " he described all my condition with out asking any word from me. I started crying immediately he said "Allah is best healer pray for it, do istaghfar and we will give you medicines that will ease you not to cure your problem. There is no treatment for this. God knows better when will it cure. It's a rare problem and normally it takes 3.5 years to heal."

He gave me anti allergy, anti depressant and tranquilizers. My condition was very bad then he started steroids. That time period was very bad I spent that period in very much pain and in crying. After almost 2 year my health recovered Alhumdulilah.

Did you experience any medical trauma in your childhood?Could you share it with us?

No, Alhumdulilah my childhood was very healthy and beautiful. I don't have any medical trauma experience in my childhood.

Have you experienced an accident or illness considered serious? What teaching did this experience leave you?

My conditions that I mentioned above stayed around 2years, I realized during my illness that real happiness, wealth is our health. You can't enjoy any thing without good health.

So take care of your health before it gone. First off all change your life style ( in pakistan lifestyle is very bad we sleep very late and woke up around 12). Eat healthy diet, try to reduce stress, drink plant of water, keep you happy, be good for others etc.

That's all for this contest. I would like to invite @sualeha, @sailawana, @faran-nabeel for the contest.

Oh dear I am very concerned to hear your medical experience when you are sick. I hope this bad experience doesn't happen again and you and your family are always healthy.

Goodluck for the contest

Thanks so much for your wishes. Whenever these memories are recalled, I am frightened, and I wish no one would suffer from this or any disease

Syringes frighten many of us, especially when we were children. Your daughter's story is very difficult, she could have died but thanks to the specialists, she is doing very well, although they are expensive, they charge for all their studies.

I had not heard the disease you have, how difficult it was a long treatment and it was also complicated because the first doctors who saw you, were not sure what you had. When you were diagnosed, the disease was more advanced. I hope you don't get sick from it anymore.
Greetings and thank you for participating in this challenge @suboohi.
