Steemit Engagement Challenge / S11W2 - “The worst enemy, Sugar." will be helpful in awareness of diabetes. Due to bad eating habits and unhealthy lifestyle it's spreading very fast ly, now 422 millions of population of world is effected by this problem. Only by adopting good eating habits and healthy lifestyle we can prevent our body from diabetes.

Do you know how much sugar you consume per day?

I'm a sweet lover, but now that I'm 43 years old, I've cut down my sugar intake by up to half. I don't take sweets and chocolates on a regular basis, and I eat very little of them if I do. I stopped drinking artificial juices, fizzy drinks, and every food that is rich in sugar content. I drink 3–4 cups of tea without sugar. I stopped drinking sugar in any form to an extent of 80%.

My family's health history includes diabetes. So now, I try not to use processed sugar or food to keep myself healthy. It's a precaution to control your diet after 40 to protect your body from different types of diseases. Diabetes is the start of many other problems connected to it, like cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, kidney problems, eye problems, and many more.

I don't have an exact idea how much I take in sugar, but my intake is limited to foods that contain sugar naturally. So my sugar intake is lower now.

Do you have a family member who has problems with diabetes?

My father was a diabetic patient. My mother and my husband are new victims of diabetes. This problem is in our family history, so I have decided to reduce my weight and control my health.

My father-in-law is also a diabetic patient, but he is very careful about his health. He doesn't take any medication for it and does yoga to maintain his health. I haven't seen anyone who is very conscious of his health.

Have you had a problem with sugar?

Alhumdulilah I'm free from this problem. Now I don't have time for exercise and other healthy activities, so I cut down on my sugar. To overcome this situation, I cut down on my sugar content in my daily routine. My father-in-law is very strict about diet control and exercises on a regular basis so he can control his diabetes to a normal state.

What do you think about sugar as the worst enemy?

I totally agreed with "sugar is the worst enemy". This problem enters your life just because of your unhealthy lifestyle. This disease is not curable. You can control it by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Due to the side effects of this problem, you may suffer from obesity, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, and kidney damage caused by sugar.

Many other problems that are connected with sugar make the body weak. Due to the weakness of the immune system, overall health goes down after suffering from diabetes.

I can understand you sugar cravings when you have a family history of diabetes.

My maternal family has diabetes, which makes me even more consious about sugar.

It's a test from Allah to avoid all the tasty foods including cakes, when people with non-diabetic history seems like enjoying it all😟

It's a life long struggle to avoid sugar and opt for a healthy life style🙆:(

Heredar diabetes es algo muy complicado porque, cuando aún no se sabe o en su defecto, a pesar de saberlo no se siguen los parámetros adecuados, todo se nos va de control y, nuestra salud se ve altamente comprometida porque, la vida incluso se puede perder.

Cuídese mucho amiga... Reducir el consumo del nivel de azúcar es un gran paso para mantenernos a salvo.

Sugar is our worse enemy, especially when it's in abondant amount. White sugar is resembles with white poison. It causes severe diseases such as diabetes, heart problems, dental issues and many more.
