Ya just gotta keep up with the daily rewards and get those guys leveled.
Of course it doesn't matter much if your summoners are lvl 1 so you might want to buy what you need off the market. Grind on!!!

A lvl 1 unicorn already kicks butt!
Nice! I just got my hands on two Wood Nymphs. Not very powerful, but being new cards, the price is quite good to sell them.

Did you sell or are you going to play it?
I sold mine for eleven cents yesterday, and now I see the price has dropped to seven. It could still move up quite a bit though, as I've learned from the Divine Sorceress and the Sacred Unicorn. The former one I don't like, so I sold her immediately (for 0.17 and now she's worth 0.23). But the unicorn looks like a fun card to play.
I’m not exactly sure how to sell them yet - so I’m gonna keep them all.
It’s not like they can get moldy in my basement or anything.
Maybe one day they will be collector items or I’ll figure out how to fully power them up.
Oh selling cards is easy: In your collection you click on the card, and on top instead of Stats you click on Your Cards, you can select each one by crossing in the little white box. Then the Sell button becomes active on the bottom, and you can specify how much you want to sell it for.
Though you might be right, it may be a good strategy to just hold on to them. This morning I won a gold foil Sacred Unicorn, out of which only three are in existence at this moment, and I sold it $250. I could be kicking myself later on, but at the moment I'm quite happy with it. I figured, as the cards are coming out there'll be a higher supply and hence lower market value. (On the other hand, people are bound to level them up by combining them, which decreases the supply...)

I would hope that even though more cards come out, some get retired, which makes the retired ones worth more?
