Tokenize all the things! (part deux)
If you're here on Steemit you have some idea of what I'm talking about, you've found that you can make at least some sort of income for what you vote on and write, even if you're not some huge whale or creator with thousands of subscribers/followers.
Enter some new players...
Presearch and Sola are the current two on my radar at the moment.

So next up is Sola...

Sola is intended for shorter (than Steemit) picture based posts they call "Cards", I see this as a direct challenger to Instagram.
The SOL tokens (their internal currency) are ERC20 tokens, meaning they're powered by the Ethereum network and therefore able to be converted to ETH. Currently their wallet is not configured for withdraws, but it is being developed to allow them in the future.

Like any new application/platform there is a little bit of a learning curve, but it is not too steep and you'll likely be able to get posting and commenting pretty quickly.
In SOLA you are awarded "Action Points" which are similar to Voting Power here in Steemit, you only get so many each day and when they're gone they're gone until you get your resupply at the start of your next 24 hour period. Action Points are required to post, comment, and award other users SOLs. You can carry a balance as you see in the above photo.
So far I've had some success on Sola, nothing extraordinary, but thats the way it goes when you're new to a platform and still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.
The app has been glitchy on occasion, but it is most certainly useable and works well about 90% of the time for me.
This is another one of those things I view as pretty low risk with a potentially large upside. We're going to be seeing a lot of this sort of thing over the next few months and years, some will remain strong and end up being the new social media giants, while others crash and burn.
It can't hurt to try out as many as possible while they're still emerging and get in on the ground floor!

Its interesting, I don't have huge hopes for it, but it might be good short term and if I can make a little something off it without actually having to risk any cash I'll give it a go!
I need to put it back on my phone. I was using it and decided to wipe my phone and reinstall what I wanted manually to free up some storage and just haven't got to that point yet.
