ARE YOU A PANGOLIN?

Pangolins are undoubtedly one of the most awesome animals on the earth. The animal has great attributes that you cannot pass it by without having a very long second look, possibly third. The body is absolutely impervious, and folds into a ball when it senses danger or threat, with more than a thousand armoury scales. But who knows pangolins? You are more likely to have no knowledge of it. But why?

Pangolins are very private animals; they do not like associating with anyone. They live in their secluded, very private homes, comes out only to feed at night. I might add that they only feed on ants and termites; odd enough for an animal made of metals, literally. It might also interest you to know that pangolins have no teeth, as scary as they are. The reason is because it focused solely on evolving features that will make very secured. It never occurred to it that to get anywhere fast in life you need relationships. But lo, it is the master of play it safe; security is the first law in its heaven.

Where does that live dear pango? Obscurity! It knows no one, no one knows it. Even scientists cannot tell you much beyond its very obvious features. You know, the tortoise is a very ‘beautifully’ unattractive animal, and is also much security conscious just like pangolin. But a very important lesson that pangolin never learnt from tortoise is that ‘if you don’t stick out your neck, you will never get anywhere in life’.
