Christmas Presents: visit "Krafty"
Hello my dear Steemians,
It is a time for prepare ourselves for Winter festive days and also when we return to Germany we try to get some presents usually we try to get something authentic for Scotland. In previous years there were for example, cheese, I know Scotland is not cheese land like Netherlands but there are some locally produced Cheddar cheese, of course there are many different flavours because of herbs. Then was the time of local honey, they were very delicious I personally loved the taste of them.
Other time, maybe that was in a cold winter, we have warm scarfs and blankets with typical Scottish tartan pattern.
While preparing ourselves this time we noticed a little shop just almost next to our home they are here now about 2 years, we never visited it before but this time we decided to check it out.
The shop is called "Krafty", there you can buy spirits, cheese, cigars so everything for nice gathering. Here is their facebook site

When we went in there were many different stalls and also very colourful labels, so we just asked the sales-lady to recommend something from locally produced products and that was this stall:
The recommended wine was not made of grapes, I believe grapes do not grow here well, so they mostly made of strawberries and raspberries, so of them have a combination of both. There was also one sparkling wine and of course we decided to take that one for New Year celebration.
The next shelves contained wine from South Africa, "the Fish wives Club"
Here are some Spanish Wine "Sand Boy", have never heard but like the label:

When we were in shop one of the labels immediately attracted my attention, because of portraits on the bottles and of course the name "19 Crimes". Looking through the internet I found that it is made in Australia.
In 1788 in UK there was a "punishment by transportation" from home country to Australia for 19 types of crimes:

Every label has a portrait and scanning the bar code you can read about the fate of the person.

There are many interesting bottles, no idea how they taste, but often for present we choose something for our eyes :)

Really I learnt a lot how wine is important in West. We have very few shops displaying wine so massively. Your description of each variety with its origin is magnificent. I found a Three wheeler shown in the top picture.

I liked entering this winery, I don't drink liquor, however it is a gift that other people appreciate, some even keep the bottles when they see them beautiful, Christmas is a wonderful time, people are so happy, joy is felt everywhere and many of us receive the Christmas bonus, something that helps us buy the details for others.
