Steemvoter Guild: Author of Day - 1st Feb 2017 (The First BIG Upvote!)
The Steemvoter (SV) Guild is officially open and the @steemvoter team is proud to present our first daily guild vote for a well deserving author.

Selection Criteria: @aksinya's post created a fair bit of engagement in comments, adding to a vibrant atmosphere on Steem. One comment was from @anca3drandom who is a respected member of the community and @cryptoiskey recognised her account name as well.
She has been a loyal community member, going on six months since joining and has faithfully posted regularly with her posts ranging from a few cents to around $7 maximum per post except for 23 days ago, there was a higher paid post, but no other high value posts recently.
@aksinya seems to be a nice person and a valued member of the community, her curation is a bit to the low side and we encourage her to use our service to upvote other great authors automatically and conveniently.

I'm happy to see the SV Guild up and running! This spotlight is a great way to encourage authors, and I enjoy reading the thoughtful commentary. Will be watching these closely and hopefully will be a good way to discover some interesting people to follow. Nice first pick!
Hey @cryptomancer thanks for the encouragement, we think that the daily anticipation of the SV Guild vote could add some excellent gamification to Steem and liven things up a bit. We hope it will draw more users to Steem seeing other authors receiving relatively large rewards again. We try vote different authors so there is always fresh faces on trending. Oh.. we better leave her comment so she know she has been selected. :)
Yes, you should always comment on the selected posts. Maybe put a SV Guild stamp graphic along with a congratulatory message.
Would be fun if sometimes these are selected by community vote right here on Steemit. You could select, say, 5 finalists and then do a post asking the community to vote on the winner. Or else solicit candidate posts from the community. I remember a daily Steemit newspaper (sadly discontinued) which used to do that, and gave the rewards from the voting post to the users that submitted winning recommendations. There were also rules to keep it fair, like you couldn't recommend your own post, you could only do one recommendation per day, recommendation could only be a link with no commentary, etc
Cool sounds interesting, there are some logistics and additional complexity behind implementing that however. perhaps we should continue with the current format for a while and re-evaluate in a month when this format is getting stale we try that as a new idea to keep bringing fresh ways of doing things to Steem.
Sure, got to try things a step at a time and see how it works out. I think this format is great for now, will be fun to see what kind of posts you guys pick!

@steemvoter Is the autovote working? The logs show that it stoppen on January 31st.
Hey, yeah autovote should be working unless terms and conditions weren't accepted, but there was an issue with our system whereby only as of today the voting would stop if you hadn't accepted. I will check with technical and get back to you.
Btw I have logs on @thecryptodrive up to today. Try log in and see if the Terms and Conditions pop up to be accepted.
