NFL Fantasy 12/15
We are back with another edition of NFL Fantasy Today! But wait, isn't today Saturday? It sure is! And this is the first NFL Saturday of the year. There are two games today to choose from. The New York Jets are hosting the Houston Texans and the Denver Broncos are hosting the Cleveland Browns.
The only team in action today that has realistic playoff hopes is the Texans. I expect that their players will have high ownership. I like a different match-up though so we are going to go in a different direction. Let's get started with the quarterback position.
B Mayfield QB 6400. Baker Mayfield has had an up and down rookie season so far. But he has helped the Browns get to 5 wins and that is something that has not happened in several years. Mayfield will likely win the rookie of the year if he can close his season strong. I really like his chances today against a deflated Broncos defense.
N Chubb RB 7600. Nick Chubb was a nice draft pick by the Browns this past year. He had a fantastic career at the University of Georgia and had high hopes for his rookie season. But for some reason, the Browns did not give him the rock hardly at all in the first part of the season. Chubb has had some monster runs and now is the starter, as he should be.
J Landry WR 7400. If Baker Mayfield is going to have a big day today then Javaris Landry will be a big reason why. He is averaging 14 fantasy points per game and I think he will be running wild tonight against the Broncos secondary. If he can slip into the end zone a couple times, he could eclipse the 20 point fantasy mark.
Kick off in the Browns at Broncos is set for 7:20pm Central Standard Time. It can be seen on National Television on the NFL Network. It will be a cool night in Denver but there is no rain or snow in the forecast.
