NFL Draft Preview Defensive End: Bradley Chubb

The 2018 NFL Draft is almost here and we want to take a look at some of the best players that will be hearing their names called in the first rounds. Today we want to focus on the Defensive End position. First, let’s take a look at the best defensive NFL Prospect in the draft, Bradley Chubb. The 6’4 and 269lb beast played his college football at North Carolina State.
Bradley Chubb is a physical specimen that will be able to step in on day one in the NFL and wreak havoc on quarterbacks. But Chubb did not show up on campus the same size as he is now. When he joined the North Carolina Wolf Pack, he was 30 pounds lighter and had been playing linebacker in high school. He did have several offers from other schools but he chose the best program out of the bunch. He did not get much playing time his freshman year and was mostly on special teams. Chubb would officially make the switch to Defensive End as a sophomore and hit the weight room extremely hard.
His junior season would be a break out year for Chubb. He moved into the starting line up and was fantastic at rushing the passer. He really gained some national attention though for one of his most regrettable moves in a Wolf Pack uniform. Chubb was a big part in upsetting the Florida State Seminoles but his choice of celebration led him to spit on the FSU logo on the field. That did not go over well in the media and Chubb was forced to apologize.
The rest of the senior year for Chubb went much better. He would sack the quarterback 10 times and had NFL scouts drooling. He would win a ton of awards including being on the All-America first team. He would finish his career with 25 sacks, 198 tackles and 6 forced fumbles.
Chubb will definitely hear his name called in the top 10 of the 2018 NFL Draft.
