AFC Championship Game Preview

We have been waiting since the start of September for this day. It is the NFL’s Championship Sunday that will feature the AFC and NFC Title Games with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. I want to focus on the late game now as I posted my preview for the Rams at the Saints earlier today.
The New England Patriots will play at the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game tonight. Kickoff is set for 5:40pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on CBS. It will take place at Arrow Head Stadium in Kansas City. The Chiefs are favored by 3 points and the over/under is 56 points. Weather will be a factor in this match-up as the temperatures will be near a zero degree windchill at the start and only get colder throughout the action.
But that doesn’t mean that we won’t be in for an epic battle.
The New England Patriots enter tonight’s game in a very familiar situation. This is their 8th straight AFC Championship Game appearance. But they are used to being at home in Boston so this will be a much tougher route to the Super Bowl by playing on the road.
Another year in the NFL for Tom Brady and another wonderful season. The 41 year old quarterback is still playing at an extremely top level and like Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, is showing no signs of slowing down.
Brady is averaging 276 yards per game and has thrown 30 touchdowns this year with only 11 interceptions. He is completely 66.6% of his passes and has a quarterback rating of 98.3.
The Kansas City Chiefs enter tonight’s game with the #1 scoring offense in the NFL. They have been an absolute blast to watch this year and have won over the most of the country as their favorite team. A big reason for that is the success of second year quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes has put up some insane numbers this year and made some phenomenal throws. He led the NFL in touchdown passes with 50 and only had 12 interceptions. Mahomes completed 66% of his passes and has one of the highest passer ratings ever at 112.
His favorite target this season was tight end Travis Kelce would caught over 100 balls. But the Patriots will be more concerned with the explosive wide receiver, Tyreke Hill, who can pop off a big play at any time.
It should be a great match-up today with two of the top offenses in the NFL with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Thank you for following @steemsports and you can find me @npl77
Im a Rams fan but got my money on KC on this one. They got a sick squad sucks they lost Hunt I had him in my dynasty fantasy football league (ouch!!!) but the 2 Willams have been doing pretty good. Going to come down to the Rookie QB Mahomes and the legend Brady. Who can cary their team tonight.
Looking alot like this mornings game.
It will be a good game.
This time Brady will play away from home.
