SteemReports - Search Engine Adds DTube Support and Improved Filtering

The search engine now supports on-page playback of DTube video as well as YouTube.

In Chrome (desktop browser), you can also use the Alt+Up and Alt+Down to increase and decrease playback speed in the videos. As I don't have a lot of time, this is something I do a lot with podcasts, so I made the feature for myself really!

The filtering method has been improved so that there's a separate field for the filters, which will allow more to be added easily in future.

Some other planned features include:

  1. Support for on-page playback of DSound audio
  2. Additional search filters (any ideas?)
  3. Improved layout for video searches
  4. A personalised feed (using collaborative filtering)
  5. Incorporation of a spam filter
  6. Show existing voting/payout info
  7. Voting directly within the search interface (awaiting SteemConnect v2)

Because I work nearly all the time using Chrome on my desktop PC and have limited time, other browsers are not really tested (at the moment), so please let me know if there are big problems with the site on your device, and if so, what you're using to view it.

Thanks to those who have supported the development of the SteemReports software and site over the last few months. This has made it possible for me to continue to spend time learning about, and developing tools to add value to the Steem blockchain.

I'm Firefox heavy user.

If you use Steemit and prefer to be owner of your own content and not just a content creator for somebody else who makes money out of your content, then maybe you should consider Firefox as a better choice than Google Admachine Chrome.

Perhaps I should, but when trying to make sites and services that work on a large platform, and without the time to properly test other platforms, Chrome fits the bill for now. That said, most of the site should work fine in Firefox, but let me know if it doesn't. I only realised that the key short-cuts didn't seem to after I implemented them, but may check the code to make it compatible - if possible.

There are not so big differences in Chrome and Firefox since both support standards more-less good.

I did not know that key short-cuts exist. Maybe you should create some tips on where they are.

@steemreports This demands somewhat more time and energy to Consider in excess of. Wonderful you provide it from a unique angle. Mhhh not really easy... and it had been previously Very hard. Many thanks for allow us to Consider.
Much data many thanks for sharing. Find it irresistible. Resteemed.

Just started transitioning my videos from that other video site. Funny thing is: when I use the built in search on d.tube and literally use all the words in my video title I get hits on 2 unrelated videos. Never mine.
