Agbonde continued following the mystery woman, he walked on as if under a spell. The guards who had been confused and didn't know what to do, returned to the king.

Agbonde felt he was being pulled and overwhelmed by a power stronger than him, despite the lady not talking to him or responding to his questions he followed her on. After a while, they got to a big tree and Agbonde suddenly found himself walking into the tree with the mystery woman.

Agbonde found himself in a large feast in a dark forest, the beautiful mystery woman held his hands and brought him to another beautiful older woman, who appeared to be the chief of the land.

Seeing so many beautiful ladies living inside a tree, amazed Agbonde. As the chief welcomed him, he was told that the land is called snake Island and at different times of the day the women of the land turn into half snake, half human to relax and play as that was their true being. He was told that they have vinstantly heard about the men folk, who are totally different from women which is why they decided to visit the world of the humans in search of men.

Agbonde was amazed, he was himself again and all he could think of was how to go back to the king and tell everyone all he had seen. As if reading his mind, the snake chief told him that they were glad to have him and they wanted him to remain with them and become their knight. The lady who had brought him, whom he was certain had chased his daughter in the bush, happened to be the chief's daughter. Agbonde who was curious about how they were able to give birth asked the chief. Then she replied that they usually vomit their children after they had desired it in their minds and it was once in a year.

Agbonde became scared,he was trapped amongst them, there were a lot of beautiful women all smiling at him. He wondered how he will feel and cope when he started seeing them as different snakes later. He began to think of a way out. As they led him into the chief's den, a feast was prepared before him. He was scared at first and refused to eat but he was hungry and he didn't know when he started eating the meal which happened to be delicious. He ate and drank until he fell into an uncontrollable deep sleep.

Meanwhile, back in the community Agbonde's family had been thrown into mourning and sadness. The king punished the guards for allowing Agbonde out of their sight, a search party was also sent into the bush to look for Agbonde. The whole community was scared, everyone had high hopes that Agbonde was going to kill the mysterious creature which had been seen, but now that he was missing what will they do...

Agbonde woke up startled, seeing an half snake half woman beside him he screamed and his partner arose. She laughed at his fear and she turned fully human again. Agbonde began to panic, he needed a way out of the strange land, the snake chief's daughter who had slept with him immediately clung to him and began to profess undying love.

Agbonde wanted to resist the woman but having a bit of wisdom left he thought to himself, resisting the woman may spell doom for him and inability to get out of the trap. So he immediately held the young woman and managed to do her bidding.

Agbonde was however shocked when later in what seemed like the same day the snake chief invited him to her personal hut and requested that he touched her too. Agbonde however found himself obliging the woman.

After he was forced to eat, he fell into a deep sleep and woke up to find another snake woman beside him. Agbonde became restless and worried, he needed a way out. The snake women had a way of hypnotizing him, he needed a way out when he was still sane. He made up his mind to ask the snake chief's daughter.

After what seemed like hours as it was difficult for Agbonde to determine day or night in the forest, the chief's daughter came to Agbonde as usual. After sleeping with her, Agbonde teased her and called her his favorite of all the snake women. He then asked her, how he could get out of the dark forest. At first she was alarmed and refused to tell him, then he lied to her that he wanted to go and convince more men to come into the snake forest so that she wouldn't have to share him with the other women.

Hearing this, she immediately took him to the foot of the big tree they had come through, she however collected his wrist amulet to assure her he was going to return and she had a part of him with her. She told him that she would come back for him after 2 days as that was the only way he could enter or leave the dark forest.

Agbonde felt her push him through the tree and he appeared in his community again, he suddenly felt extremely weak and could hardly walk. The snake women must have used different substances to make him remain strong. As he staggered into the community, women screamed, men ran back everyone thought he was dead. He however screamed for help as he fell and fainted.

Agbonde opened his eyes and on looking around him he saw the king and some of the chiefs , he saw his wife and daughter as welk then he felt at peace. He tried to stand up but the community healer told him to remain still as he had no strength still. He narrated his ordeal and told them how he had decieved the younger snake and how she expected him back in 2 days.

Agbonde's wife began to cry, the community seer however told the king that he perceived Agbonde knew some secrets that could be used to defear the snake forest. Agbonde replied that he didn't at first, but he was persuaded to think deeply then after a while he remembered that the snake women hated eggs. Once an egg is thrown against the tree all the women will be trapped in the tree, they will remain half snake, half human and they wouldn't be able to take full human forms again.

Immediately the king ordered that this be done. The bravest of the king's guards, the seer and some other hunters were sent on the task in the bush.

However in the dark forest, the snake chief was very angry with her daughter for letting Agbonde go, the snake land had been thrown in confusion and everyone blamed the chief's daughter. She was sad and decided to go in search of Agbonde, her mother however told her, whatever happens, she must take revenge.

As the chief's daughter came out of the tree, she hid in the bush waiting for anyone who could lead her to wherever Agbonde was. She knew humans especially women gossiped a lot on their way from the stream or farm. As she hid, she saw the powerful men arrive at the tree , she became restless and wanted to stop them but she knew she couldn't, if she had to take revenge.

As the men broke the egg agsinst the tree, she began to cry. She however waited patiently for the men to leave then she followed them.

At the king's palace, everyone was busy jubilating when the snake woman turned into a full snake for the first time in her life, she hadn't revealed this ability to Agbonde because it was her mother's last gift to her. She knew she would never become human again after this but she needed to revenge so she sneaked into the palace where Agbonde was laid receiving treatment and she bit him. Agbonde's scream attracted the king and all jubilating, on getting there, Agbinde told them what had happened but the snake was gone. Agbonde couldn't be saved either.
