Listen To Me Banging On The Drums Today - Metal Style

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

For those who didn't know I drum, it was a big part of my life I don't post much about. I've played in bands, gigged around, recorded a few albums, and am in some music videos/live show videos online (top secret).

One of my goals for this year is getting back into gigging around my city because playing live in front of an audience is such a rush.

Today I felt like playing some metal over a backing track I've played once before, but didn't get a good take on with the wrong kit setup/audio quality. While this one is still far from perfect, it's much better than the first, and I can live with it.

For best sound quality, headphones or speakers with solid bass are recommended.

Song - Winterache by Ken Florentino

Yep, I'm wearing my Steemit shirt from SF3.

Enjoy!

Love it! I'm always inspired by these videos. On another note I read your thoughts on auto-voting the other day. Your reasoning has made me consider it as well. I miss way too many posts...

Thank you for watching and commenting.

I've been playing around with the auto-voter and it's ok. I have to turn it off at times because the auto-votes plus my manual votes sap my voting power down too fast. It does help with the one or two people I vote on for curation and has helped me laser focus on the best rewards possible in those two instances by timing the votes just right. For example, my 100% used to get me .10 SP in curation on an author's post, and now it gets me .24 just by adjusting the timing against the competition. Maybe try one or two setups like that just so you can earn a little bit as you enjoy reading stuff. You can use the Steemit Curation Rewards Calculator to fine tune things, although it's sort of inaccurate until you get the actual payout to know the real weight.

Thanks a lot and wow, this is literally valuable information. Which auto-voting software are you using?

Just steemauto via steemconnect. It’s a very simple web dashboard. No fees. A good way to find posts to try to curatate for rewards are to look at other Steemians who have high weekly curation payouts in their wallet and look at the links of their recent payouts which seem high (and then try to timeyoir vote before theirs by a minute using the curation rewards calculator link on the web).

Thanks a lot! Glad you caught it. Should be posting a redo of a Super Mario Bros medley to lighten it up next week if you like that type of stuff.

Awesome! Video game music is the best

Thanks for listening! Any good German hard rock or metal bands I should look into?

Maybe "Long Distance Calling" is something for you? A German rock band...

FFFF'ing AWESOME... Right up my alley. You just added 9:12 to my life. Nothing better than being introduced to stuff like this. which has such musical depth and tells a powerful story. They also brought rock keys and guitar slides back. The crescendo with the guitar singing at the end was so good.

Especially with the video, they're feel like a heavy version of Sigur Rós, no?

Thanks a lot!

Hm, I don't know Sigur Rós. Can you recommend a good somg from this group?

I think germans prefer indierock :D

The rest gets imported from the US :D

Can you put drum cover to this

Good news, they have this song on iTunes. I can get it and convert to MP3 for my drum module. I'll put it into the queue and see what I can come up with. I'm doing another cover next week, but will try to absorb the song in the meantime. Playing is the easy part, just need to internalize the song/tempo/feel first.
