Over a hundred markers on the Steemit Worldmap
You guys rock!
We have some new features for you guys!
- Editors Choice map: find out more below!
- You can now search on author, tag, date-range and / or editors choice
- Images are now only loaded when a marker or cluster is clicked
And we're still working on some more!
- Automated comment with what went wrong in case your post didn't get added to the map
- Make it possible to report posts on the map (e.g.: wrong coordinates etc.)
Editors Choice and Post Promotion
Starting later this month we will put 3 posts in the spotlight every day. This way these posts and their creators get some exposure and people following us are guaranteed interesting reads! These posts will be added to the Editors Choice map as well. In order to make chance to be selected you will have to meet the following requirements:
- Your post needs to be on the Steemit Worldmap
- Your post needs to have the travel tag (we want to focus on one subject)
- Your post can not be more than 4 days old.
FAQ:
I can't find the coordinates on Google Maps, where do I find them?
- You've most likely clicked on a POI (e.g.: city name, famous attraction, etc.), click somewhere on the map close by the POI without clicking on it. A grey marker should show up showing you the longitude and latitude value.
My post seems correct, but it's not showing up on the map, what happened?
- Make sure there are no mistakes on the code in your post, a small mistake sneaks in easily! If you found one, edit the post and it should be fixed.
- The server might have been restarted just when you posted, make a small edit to the post and it should be fixed.

1. Go to the Witness Voting Page on Steemit.com
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the vote box
3. Type (blueorgy) in the box and click vote.
