ADVENTURES IN "FREE TRADE" - A Tragic Comedy

This is a real life story that happened to my sister a few weeks ago.

What happened?

She tried to import a bottle of Colloidal Silver, through a voluntary trade with a private company, into Korea.  But then the mafia known as "Customs" had other ideas.  What follows is an email she received from the mafia known as "Korean Customs" regarding the Silver.  

Please note:  The grammar in their email is far from perfect.  

I translate the true meaning of their communication in bold and italics.

Hello, This is iherb customs broker office. (COMPANY : JEIL CUSTOMS BROKER OFFICE) We can only work about business related to the import procedure at the Korean Customs. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.

Translation:  This is an extortion funded prohibition and theft office that specifically deals with a private company called iherb.  I have to say sorry for the inconvenience in order to apply a velvet glove to my iron fist in your face.      

We are writing this email to inform you that your package is now holding in customs because it contains a material which cannot be imported into Korea. This time, your package was inspected by Korea customs officer. They check your package's item ingredient.   

1. NATURAL PATH SILVER WINGS  COLLOIDAL SILVER  500 PPM  2 FL OZ (60 ML)-1EA    ( PROHIBITED MATERIAL : SILVER)

Translation:  We are writing this email to tell you that your package has been violently intercepted and is being held against your will.  It has been decided by a morally-relativistic bureaucrat army that the contents aren’t allowed in our violently controlled collective. This is happening because we follow orders, not conscience.  The private property you were trying to freely obtain was invaded without your permission.    
 
According to them, SILVER cannot be used as a food material, so you have to discard the item. The prohibited ingredients are designated by the Korean Food and Drug Administration. The Korean customs officer can holding your package before the disposal of the prohibited ingredient.

Translation:  According to the ignorant, morally-relativistic, extortion-funded bureaucrat army, SILVER cannot be used for any good purpose, despite mountains of evidence to the contrary.  So now we’re forcing you to destroy it.    

But all imported prohibited ingredients can not be discarded by Customs. When the package was inspected by customs officer and they find the ingredient, the item was discarded. And inspect rate is lower than 3%. Persons with a history of disposal may be subject to inspection again. It is recommended that you do not purchase produts include inhibited ingredient.   

Translation:   We invade the privacy of less than 3 percent of goods imported into our geographical area, so sorry about your luck.  People with a history of having tough luck and getting their stuff stolen by us may be more likely to be subjected to violent theft and destruction again.  We recommended that you submit to being a serf.    

So, there are two options.

1. discard the prohibited item and get other items.   

-And discard process will spend 2 weeks.

We attached the 'agreement of discard'. Please sign on the document and send it to our email after taking a picture or scanning it.

If you difficult to print document, please response our email please include below sentence.            

"I agree to discarding the prohibited item (NATURAL PATH SILVER WINGS  COLLOIDAL SILVER  500 PPM  2 FL OZ (60 ML)-1EA)”

And if you want to refund discard item, please contact iherb.com ([email protected]) attach document (agreement of discarding) We can not promise, but most of customer says that they received a refund when they contacts the Iherb.

Translation:  So here are the violently enforced dialectic options

1.  Submit to our coercion and give us permission to steal or destroy your private property, which will take up to two weeks because we’re lethargic paper pushers.

Waste your time and attention by signing and sending papers so we can document your obedience and have more papers to push.    

If you want a refund, we can’t promise anything, but good luck, and we don’t really care.    

2. provide the doctor's certificate.   -Your doctor's note must include your doctor's license number and your illness name. It should also include advice from a physician recommending taking the underlying health supplement. (NATURAL PATH SILVER WINGS  COLLOIDAL SILVER)

Translation:    

2. Provide note from pseudo-scientist in a white coat who has been approved by the state medical mafia.

Your pseudo-scientist in a white coat note must include your illness name.  It should also include a recommendation from your doctor that you take the medicine we’re trying to steal from you.  This is because we’re ignorant of self ownership and have been brainwashed to believe that we should be ruled by so-called experts.  We also know that there aren’t any so-called doctors in Korea that would ever recommend a natural health medicine like Silver, so option number two is pretty much a total sham.
