Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda...sooner
I have friends and family who are saying, "I wish I'd joined Steemit earlier! I feel like I've missed so much connection, information, Steem Power... 😔 I should have joined a year ago."
I understand that feeling...like when you go to a party, and you don't want to arrive too early and just stand there bored, so you go fashionably late. But, then when you arrive things seem to be in full swing and it feels like you should have gone earlier! You worry that you missed something. But it's still early!! And 👉🏽we are here now. 🤗
Steemit wasn't as fun a year ago as now. Many, many folks (like you reading this now?) have joined only this month, June 2017. Really to me it's like Steemit was only gestating for the past year, but now is being birthed into life.
So, no regrets! Welcome to Steemit. We are glad you're here. Jump on in now! It's just getting started, and it's a helluva lot of fun.

It has been a TSUNAMI of people flooding this place. I'm sure you and many others have been corralling people here, answering questions, helping with intro posts, etc. Your post is perfect in explaining that while they may feel late, it's not late.

Its never too late, it will never be. I joined steemit last July 2016 but still I felt that I'm a new member. Yes, I could have submitted a lot of contents but my account is really at its infancy :). Steemit is also at its infancy and still has a long way to go and I believe that together we can grow with it gradually.
I joined July or August 2016 as well I could've done a lot more with it… I've even taken the last six months off. But no regrets.

And, don't you just love how you can go check someone's wallet here? No hiding or fake posturing… Everything we do here is reflected in our wallet and reputation score. Keeps shit very real
Yeah, I remember way back few days after I joined the steemit. I made a screenshot on my wallet and shade all the details and posted a question about it. Somebody replied to that post together with all the details in my wallet. I was so ashame because I didnt know that the wallet is publicly seen by all. :)

Yeah, because I never stop posting ever since I joined the platform. I just hope that this reputation could help me gain votes from whales :)
I'm excited by the prospect of Steemit becoming a "Facebook" that actually has the capacity to fund itself by being tied to cryptocurrency creation rather than annoying people with ads or just having a gigantic market cap from an IPO that has no relationship to reality (looking at you here Facebook.)
But I would really like to see a way to link steem to the real world -- the minute we see the capacity to buy stuff here on Steemit with steem, I think that will change the world. Of course, then government gets involved because of taxes and the whole thing gets messy....
Easy to get lost in regrets -- why did I let the difficulty of buying bitcoin stop me in 2012 when it was cheap? Why didn't I buy apple stock instead of a motorcycle with summer money when I was 18? Etc Etc Etc....
But -- I actually just love the community that is springing up here. Good folk and good conversations!

Yes commenting and feedback builds bonds. Balancing that with contributing content is the key. Post stuff that is truly about you and/or your interests. Forget trying to discover what people want and being/posting about it...just be real. That's my advice for everything and everyone. 🙏🏽

Smarter and luckier guys were here before (as they usually are :)) but we're still on time for this party. What I like about present time is that the naive period is over - you don't get followers just like that, you have to put some work and quality into it. No vacancy for spammers. But still all you need to invest is some effort and the results will surely follow.

I only joined this month, and I feel that we're still on the leading edge of Steemit. When you think about the people on now versus the amount of people that will probably be on in a couple of years... it seems like this is only the beginning! I'm loving it :)
