Campus Connect Weekly Contest - Week 18 - Looking Back At 2021 [By @stan015] || Club5050✅
Greetings Wonderful People! I am so happy participating in a wonderful contest as this. It has really been a long way, and this contest aims at making us sit back and check how far we have come, our improvements, achievements, and our setbacks. I so much love this as it helps to access oneself and help them do better the new year!❤
my shot
2021 had been a wonderful year for me. It was a year I took over my responsiblity and was able to settle all the dues I was suppose to settle. It started harshly, but the ending was a kind to be very grateful of.
In 2018 when I got admission, my sponsor promised he could only sponsor my 100L and 200L, I so much appreciated this offer and promised to do my best until finish. So 2021 was a year I entered 300L, it was up to me this time, and I also have two junior brothers I am sponsoring. Sadly we are all alone.
To cut the summery shot, I was able to pay my school dues my self, I was able to register WAEC and NECO for one of my junior brothers and I glad he passed. I was also able to workout my rent for the year 2022, this is so cool as accommodation matters so much as a student. I made the best of friends. I achieved a lot all by myself in 2021 and I am happy I did.
Goals helps one to access self and check improvements when compared to the previous. I had goals for 2021, I am so happy with my achievements. Below were my goals for 2021 and their status before the end of the year:
- Work Hard and Smart so you can pay your dues! - I was able to pay all my dues myself and for my siblings
- Get a new laptop and continue to code - I was able to get a new laptop and had continued with my journey as a frontend dev (still progressing). I had also learned a lot as a computering engineering students. This was one of my hitted achievement
- Get a new apartment - I am happy with the status of this goal as I have achieved what it takes and I am about moving to a new apartment
- provide for your siblings - I am so pleased I could answered to their call whenever they need me, I gave them peace and they are busy achieving greater height in skills. I registered one to Computer training and the other as a tailor.
- Stay happy - this is one of my greatest this year compared to other sad years previously. My peace of my in 2021 was so good to be spoken about. I am currently a happy man surviving. 2022 would be greater!
To achieve goals as the ones I stated above, there must be challenges. There were challenges I overcame to stick to achieving this far, of which one of my greatest challenge was the work load on me. Being a working student is not really easy. I missed classes, I had a lot to think of, I was ill at a point but thank God I recovered. I made sure to stick on no matter what, and that was courage. I was so courageous to reach my goals no matter how hard it will be because I seemed to be the only source and hope of others. Thank God I made it through.
I so much advise setting goals. It helps in the journey of growth and improvement. Sometimes resolutions don't work as it take great strength to stick on. But checking and accessing yourself, your progress every moment would do a lot of good. I am happy entering this new year because I have so far did far better than last two years when I compare. This is as the result of setting goals and accessing them every moment of the year.
May this new year 2022 bring us the best 2021 couldn't offer.
I wish you peace of mind.
Thank You.
