✴️ CONVERTING $500 SBD INTO STEEM POWER! THE HIDDEN INTERNAL FUNCTION!
What up STACKERS!
Couple minutes ago I made the decision to convert some of my "Extra SBD" (Steem Back Dollars) into Steem Power. I just converted $500 SBD (takes 3.5 days) to complete.
Why you may ask? 🤷🏼♂️
I read a blog post by @themarkymark a few days ago explaining why it may be a good idea to do so. You can read it here.
By using this internal convert method, you can get more Steem from your SBD when it's below $1. 🤑
Some people may get confused like I did when I first started to read this but after a few minutes, I totally understood the concept. 👨🏼🏫
In the past, it was highly difficult to use the internal conversion method because there were a few 'programming steps' that a person had to do.
However, now you can do it with simple click from Steem Connect. If you are interested in using this method, you can read themarkymark post here on how to do it.
Should you convert some of your SBD to Steem Power? That is totally up to you. My game plan is to do little at a time when I see the markets in the red but do plan to have some SBD's on the side lines if it ever pumps again.
Steem is currently at 0.57 on Binance which is nuts. 🤯 ... It still can go way lower and It's not Steem's Fault... the whole market is getting hit.
I might have to buy some more in the next few hours... SHEEESH! 🤣

Yea dude I caught that post by @themarkymark also definitely a awesome feature and it helps to lower the SBD debt by taking it out of circulation, any larger conversions I would highly recommend everyone use this feature.

I do agree keep all the door open, as Steem climbs usually SBD will hold the gap unless another peg adjustment comes into play. I tend to use all my SBD for self promotion, conversion often at a profit 😉 with added visibility!

Ok bro.
With the overall market being down, we need to be smart with how we manage our resources. This is yet another tool to do so and one of the reasons I allowed my SD to accumulate. I still remember last winter! :)

The blockchain always calculates SBD as $1, that's why you get more steem for converting and from 100% power ups. The function was removed from condenser when SBD was above $1 and users were losing money by converting.

That good way of storing up your sbd. Let say steem spike high it will be easy to power down it into steem. Powering up is a good way of saving up ur sbd
